"Republican Florida Governor Charlie Crist has decided he will run as an independent in the race to fill the Florida U.S. Senate seat, Crist allies tell Fox News. The official announcement is scheduled for Thursday at 5pm ET in St. Petersburg, Florida.

The Senate campaign has been rough and tumble for Crist, he was once the front-runner -- but in recent months began trailing his GOP opponent, former Florida State Speaker Marco Rubio.

Crist has said that under no circumstance would he drop out of the race, saying he will do what is best for the voters of Florida. The governor says Republicans in Washington want him to stay in the Republican party but voters in Florida have told him they want him to run as an independent."

So now we have Crist, essentially lying. He swore on Foxnews Sundays a few weeks ago that he would NOT run as an independent. Now we all knew it was a bullshit promise. I knew he was a weasel. Did i think it was a serious promise? No. But he at least had the gull to go on national TV, say no, and now decided, "oh well promises are meant to be broken." "Yeah i lied, but i want whats best for florida." Well a lier certainly isn't good for Florida.

I hope this ass loses. I hope he gets his lying ass kicked. The man is a traitor, a lier, and a liberal. He's for cap & trade, stimulus, bailouts, and breaking from the conservatives. And he lies. He's a liberal.

AIM Survey Comment

At the end of the survey it asked me once again to give comments.

To recap the survey is based on multiculturalism. So naturally all it talks about is race and diversity, here were some more of my comments:

Once again, get over the race factor. It shouldn't matter. Who sounds more like a racist, the one who doesn't care and has friends for who they are, and not their race, or the guy who tries to find any excuse to talk about "race" "ethnicity" and "culture" for "diversity." I really do not think it is that big of a deal. We will only fully get rid of it when you guys stop yapping about race. Yes, there are Asians, African-Americans, and Hispanics and Caucasians who go to this school. What is your point? Putting the spot light on the minorities? Using all of your time to focus on race?

Race only matters to those who are racist.

Great, yes i do have opportunities at this school for outings and other social experiences. Oh wait, what's that? oh WITH STUDENTS WHO REPRESENT DIFFERENT CULTURES!!!! Hello!!!??? Who cares!!!! Isn't racism identifying and focusing on one's race? So then is it racist to make a claim like this? absolutely.

Seriously who is making these question? So what? I don't care. My Asian friends is just as cool and my friend, as my white friend. Only a racist goes around saying, "hey he's Asian. Yeah i have an Asian friend!" You gotta be kidding me. This survey is 100% racist. And they don't even know it.

AIM Multiculturalism Survey

My school asked me to take a Multiculturalism survey today. It mainly focused on race and inclusion of the school. So typical racists. Ranting on and on about race.

Really? Is that how we fight racism? By exploiting one's race through "diversity." "Oh he's black go get him at our school." Who's racist now?

This is total hypocrisy. At the end of the survey it asked for 'additional comments.'

So i gave the school my two cents:

Multiculturalism, in a PRIVATE institute is irrelevant. Frankly what is racism other than the exploration and promotion of one race. Through pushing multiculturalism we are being racist in focusing on race and acting like race is an important factor. Only Racists consider race. It does not good to point out ones race in an attempt to show diversity. A teacher may be african-american. So? Again, only racists consider race.

Now the IPPC has warned us all that due to global warming there will be more vicious hurricanes. Katrina was the"evidence" for that claim. Now while it seems very believable based on their "facts" about katrina and strange weather patterns, perhaps it would be better to look at the actual data and not 'educated' estimates.

Now read this from the Center for Ocean-Atmospheric Prediction Studies:

"As previously reported here and here at Climate Audit, and chronicled at my Florida State Global Hurricane Update page, both Northern Hemisphere and overall Global hurricane activity has continued to sink to levels not seen since the 1970s. Even more astounding, when the Southern Hemisphere hurricane data is analyzed to create a global value, we see that Global Hurricane Energy has sunk to 30-year lows, at the least. Since hurricane intensity and detection data is problematic as one goes back in time, when reporting and observing practices were different than today, it is possible that we underestimated global hurricane energy during the 1970s. See notes at bottom to avoid terminology discombobulation."

- So there we find out that just a few months ago we saw the fewest global hurricane activity in 30 years! So what's all the fuss about? Does Al Gore know this?

Now while the global warming alarmists are all shouting about the melting arctic, one Russian scientist had these words to say about the recent arctic activity:

Arizona's New Immigration Law

Yesterday Arizona's governor signed into law a new bill that allowed the police to arrest people on the streets for being illegal immigrants. Now of course how would they know this? By just looking at you! By merely suspecting that, you are here illegally the police can detain you or question you until proven you are a legal citizen.

Now these "criminals" are simply people who are crossing the boarder for a better life. Since this is the case, can i then say that our ancestors are "criminals?" Why did the founders come here? Way back then when people first colonized in America were not "legal" they came for a better life.

The problem is not immigration, the problem is the welfare. They come and steal our money from the welfare entitlement programs. If we reform those programs and we reduce those, then the problems will disappear. The only other argument will be terrorist. But the reality is that the 9/11 hijackers came here legally they got visas or what ever but they got here legally. So our own government let them in. The legal process. Another "systemic failure" i suppose

But what is it about this bill? Isn't this just like the patriot act? Where if you look suspicious or are suspected of terrorist activities you can be arrested without due trial. Same thing, if you look like an illegal immigrant, you're gone.

Now i do not have enough information on this bill but that's what i know is now allowed. A patriot act type law that violates personal freedoms.

Bottom line, i think if we can reform the entitlements then the problems of "taking money" and "milking the system" which i agree they are doing, will be resolved.

This law is quite interesting and once i get more info i will come back with a stronger opinion.

Support Doug Hoffman

Last fall Doug hoffman almost upset Bill Owens in NY-23. Yet despite his loss in the special election, he now gets a second chance. This november Doug Hoffman will get another shot against Rep. Owens (D-NY).

He is one of the liberty candidates running, this fall. He is a true in and out conservative committed to freedom and the people.

But his primary challenger, Matt Doheny is gaining support from the GOP. To put it in perspective, Hoffman is for the flat tax. I truly great way to reform out tax code and a fair and productive way. Doheny says he supports lower tax rates. So it's a question of preference would you like a fair flat rate tax where it's easy, fast and equal, or do u want the same progressive income tax where those who make the most and work hard are punished, but at a lesser level?

I urge you to support Doug hoffman in NY-23 and not Matt Doheny.

The New Obamacare law as we have all heard will now give people the option of joining a 'high risk pool.' Great idea correct?

Now ask yourself this; if you're really sick, or "poor," or perhaps suffering from a disease, would you mind going 6 months without insurance?

Silly question, of course you would. But that's what it takes to get into Obamacare's cheap new high risk pools. The law clearly states that the individual must be uninsured for 6 months prior.

So not the best idea for the poor and sick is it? But then again, it's only six months right? I mean come on, you think in that time period some one could actually die?

Wow...The Seattle Times Reported today that:

"The three Bay Area men say the North American Gay Amateur Athletic Alliance in essence deemed them not gay enough to participate in the series.

The lawsuit filed Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Seattle accuses the alliance of violating Washington state laws barring discrimination. The alliance organizes the annual Gay Softball World Series.

Beth Allen, the alliance's attorney, said the lawsuit is unwarranted and that the three plaintiffs "were not discriminated against in any unlawful manner."

Mood Of The Nation

Here are some Rasmussen Polls that have helped shape what the 'mood of the nation' is:

Just 24% have confidence in the US banking system, while 54% have no confidence in it.

On the generic congressional ballot, Republicans hold a ten point lead over Democrats, 46%-36%.

58% doubt Social Security will pay all of their benefits.

56% support the repeal of the health care bill.

77% are concerned about inflation.

39% view the SCOTUS as too liberal, while 25% view it as too conservative.

39% say it is good to be the party of no. 34% say it is bad.

This give us a feel of the current mood of the nation. They are concerned about the entitlement programs, they are opposed to the health care bill, they don't trust the Federal Reserve, and support GOPers, over Dems.

And this while todays Rasmussen Presidential poll has Obama at 47% approval rating. Yet Quinnipiac polled him yesterday at 44%.

Again, i dare say i don't think America is too keen on the whole 'Hope and Change' stuff.

Inside The Gallup Poll

So despite the media's attempts to deem the tea Party as "racist" Gallup did some real reporting and in their April 5 poll went deep into the demographics of the Tea Party.

The poll poll found that of the Tea Partiers, 79% are white, and 6% were black.

Seems pretty unbalanced right? Surely this means it is largely all whites.

Of course as many are now pointing out that the poll also showed the numbers for all US adults.

Those results found that of the whole US adult population, 75% are white, and only 11% are black. Now based on that isn't the whole country racist? Of course not. I could find a country in Africa that maybe has 81% black and 2% white. Would i say that country is racist?

The fact is 11% of US adults are black. Now going strictly by numbers, 6% of tea partiers are black. So based on those numbers, wouldn't it make sense that blacks would almost always be a minority representation in any group gathering? Since 75% of the country is white, you expect that in most places you go, you will find more white people. It's not that hard of a concept. Only 11% are black, so naturally most places you go you will see less blacks.

So only 11% of the US adult population is black. 6% of the tea party is black. So going strictly by numbers, i could claim that the 6% of black tea partiers are more than the 5% who are not. Majority anyone?

I know this is late but these numbers were just too good not to post.

This tax day the number of pages in the federal tax rules are: 71,684. Up from 66,498 in 2006.

The tax cuts for the rich continue as the top 1% of earners now pay 40.1% of all federal income taxes. The top 50% pay 97.1% while the bottom 50% pay 2.9%. That number is down from 3.2% earlier this decade.

Federal spending now consumes 25% of our GDP, and the number of subsidy programs has reached 2,001 up from 1,645 five years ago.

Ok I Need To Settle This One and For All

On Thursday thousands of Americans took to the streets to protest higher taxes and big spending and big government. Yet all Obama could say was, "they should be thanking me." because he thinks he has cut taxes.

Let me make this clear. He has not. He has raised the cigarette tax, he has raised taxes on medical devices, tanning, condoms, health care plans, cars, and more.

What he is referring to are his little tax credits. Example the home buyers tax credit. Tax credits are not reductions in tax rates, but a form of government spending. It's just instead of spending money to build a bridge, it spends money on people to buy homes. A government investment. And like all government spending, how is that paid for? By taxes of course.

So really in that sense he raised taxes even more to use his home buyers subsidy. Perhaps these taxes could be part of the reason why personal income rates fell by an average of 4% in 2009.

Time To End The Argument That Tea Partiers are "Racist"

Oh My! Foreclosures Up 35%!

"A record number of U.S. homes were lost to foreclosure in the first three months of this year, a sign banks are starting to wade through the backlog of troubled home loans at a faster pace, according to a new report.

RealtyTrac Inc. said Thursday that the number of U.S. homes taken over by banks jumped 35 percent in the first quarter from a year ago. In addition, households facing foreclosure grew 16 percent in the same period and 7 percent from the last three months of 2009.

More homes were taken over by banks and scheduled for a foreclosure sale than in any quarter going back to at least January 2005, when RealtyTrac began reporting the data, the firm said."

Hmm, not what would cause this? The AP reported that these are the homes that the government intervention prevented banks from taking after the 2008 financial meltdown.

So it was the government stepping in and "helping" that has now lead foreclosures to jump 35% from last year.

" The Arctic seems to be warming up. Reports from fishermen, seal hunters, and explorers who sail the seas about Sitzbergen and the eastern Arctic, all point to a radical change in climatic conditions, and hitherto unheard-of high temperatures in that part of the earth’s surface.

The oceanographic observations have, however, been even more interesting. Ice conditions were exceptional. In fact, so little ice has never before been noted. The expedition all but established a record, sailing as far north as 81 degrees 29′ in ice-free water. This is the farthest north ever reached with modern oceanographic apparatus.

[I]t is of interest to note the unusually warm summer in Arctic Norway and the observations of Capt. Martin Ingebrigsten, who has sailed the eastern Arctic for 54 years past. He says that he first noted warmer conditions […] that since that time it has steadily gotten warmer, and that today the Arctic of that region is not recognizable as the same region […] Many old landmarks are so changed as to be unrecognizable. Where formerly great masses of ice were found there are now often moraines, accumulations of earth and stones. At many points where glaciers formerly extended far into the sea they have entirely disappeared.

The change in temperature, says Captain Ingebrigsten, has also brought about great change in the flora and fauna of the Arctic. This summer he sought for white fish in Spitzbergen waters. Formerly great shoals of them were found there. This year he saw none, although he visited all the old fishing grounds.”

It is these kinds of articles that make the idea of man-made global warming. Stories and tales like these point out warm weather pattern changes in the global climate.

But there is one problem with this particular one. It is from 1922. Let's see, no hummers, no pick-ups, no SUVs, and very little factories, and the like.

Yet the temperatures went up any way. Hmm could this possibly be a cycle? Well it can't be because it would have had to have been cool some point.

Ah, which bring us to our next piece in climate history. Believe it or not there was a point in time, when the idea of another ice age was not completely crazy.

Scientists have found other indications of global cooling. For one thing there has been a noticeable expansion of the great belt of dry, high-altitude polar winds —the so-called circumpolar vortex—that sweep from west to east around the top and bottom of the world. Indeed it is the widening of this cap of cold air that is the immediate cause of Africa's drought. By blocking moisture-bearing equatorial winds and preventing them from bringing rainfall to the parched sub-Sahara region, as well as other drought-ridden areas stretching all the way from Central America to the Middle East and India, the polar winds have in effect caused the Sahara and other deserts to reach farther to the south. Paradoxically, the same vortex has created quite different weather quirks in the U.S. and other temperate zones. As the winds swirl around the globe, their southerly portions undulate like the bottom of a skirt. Cold air is pulled down across the Western U.S. and warm air is swept up to the Northeast. The collision of air masses of widely differing temperatures and humidity can create violent storms—the Midwest's recent rash of disastrous tornadoes, for example.

That little blurb was form 1974. Now one quick thing to point out is where it says, "recent rash of disastrous tornadoes, for example." That is an indication of global cooling? But i thought that it was an indication of global WARMING. At least, that's what i heard in the 2007 IPPC report.

Yet today we are stuck with global warming, although most scientists will tell you that we are on a cooling trend as of at least the past 3 years.

So wait, let me get all of this straight, first in the early 1900s, it was warming. Then 70s, it was cooling. Then in the late 90s it was warming, now it late 10s (2000) it is cooling again (unless you buy into the global warming propaganda)?

Rasmussen did a hypothetical survey on two 2012 candidates, Ron Paul v Barack Obama.

The results are quite interesting and certainly something to pay attention to.

Obama: 42%
Paul 41%
other 11%
und 6%

Clearly the nation is torn between a choice of Obama and Paul. Paul who won the CPAC straw poll, and just the other day came in second in a GOP poll losing by one point to Mitt (flip flop) Romney.

Rasmussen reported that:

"Obama earns 79% support from Democrats, but Paul gets just 66% of GOP votes. Voters not affiliated with either major party give Paul a 47% to 28% edge over the president."

Paul gets majority of Republicans, and vast majority of independents, Obama gets most democrats and a small minority of independents.

Just food for thought.

Is Obamacare Sexist?

The new law of the land, Obamacare, is riddled with taxes and new fees that will drain the public. One of these taxes, is an excess tax on tanning. So now every time you go to a tanning salon you are taxed.

Now, Founding Bloggers, (you should check them out) brought a very good point to the table.

Consider the following;

The left is always looking at the right to call them 'racist' and 'sexist' but if you take this tanning tax a few things can be drawn.

One, the vast majority of people who go tanning are female. Therefore this tax is then sexist since it is targeted at those who go tanning, ie, women.

Next, consider the fact that by far the vast majority of people who go tanning are white girls. Thus this would be considered racists since mainly only white people would be hit by this tax.

Now, of course this is just right wing hateful conspiracy stuff, but it is certainly something to think about. And this would also be a very important piece of commentary if it was in a conservative bill under a republican administration.

Tonight i went online to that chat site 'Omegle.' On there i asked Europeans and Canadians if what they though of their health care system and if they liked it and were pleased with their care.

Now i only managed to poll 30 people, but if you've ever been on that site you understand that is a lot and hard to get.

Of those 30 people, 21 said no and only 9 said yes.

The reasons some people gave were; long lines, it's not free in the long run, not enough access to care, and inefficient.

Even one who said it was 'nice' and they 'like it' admitted that the queues are long and if your lucky you'll wait a month to see a specialist.

Others explained the care was inferior when i asked them about the fact that US cancer survival rates are about 65% whereas Europe is 47%. They said most drugs are not accessible.

Here is an example of one who was very shall we say firm in his opinion.

Oh Good Nearly Half of Americans Pay NO Federal Income Taxes

The AP goes on to say that many families benefit from the tax system, and because of special credits and rewards they end up making more than they owe.

This is socialism if i've ever seen it.

This is like when the pilgrims decided to share all the food, and the slackers realized they didn't half to get any, they just ate what other people brought. Well we see how that worked out for them. The quickly abandoned that idea.

47% don't pay federal income taxes. That is shocking. I'm not really sure what to say about this.

All i can say is i guess it's too bad we got all those tax cuts for the rich. Who do you think pays the bill? Who makes up for the 47%? Bingo!

The key element of this blurb is when he talks about how the procedure will be accused of rationing. He is saying that the plan is so big that cutting care is essential. That the O-care plan won't be sustainable if we don't do something about cutting care. The idea is not everyone is worth the cost. Thus some will die and some will live. Does this sound like 'Death Panels?'

The rationing of patient care will happen. It's not fear mongering. It is simply the fact that some times people are afraid of the truth. Especially career concerned arrogant politicians.

Is it any coincidence that the new 'Medicare Advisory Board' will be in charge of things such as care, and costs?

Of course congress will never pass a bill that has the exact language "death panels." No politician will ever openly say "i'm for death panels that will ration your care!"

So all the people who look at the bill and say "where are the death panels? i don't see them."

You can't just scan it for the words DEATH PANNELS, like theyre gonna be right there in big bold letters. They are buried away tucked inside other provisions such as the Medicare Advisory Board.

Or in Europe The scheme, called the Liverpool Care Pathway (LCP), was designed to reduce patient suffering in their final hours.

This is so that they can help them make those end of life decisions. Or save money.

Under the guidelines the decision to diagnose that a patient is close to death is made by the entire medical team treating them, including a senior doctor.

Death panels will never carry the title or look anything like it, but they will be pop out of nowhere and pull the plug. Not many people would challenge an Elderly Care Committee. Yet in a bill designed to cut costs? Sounds very suspicious.

Rasmussen Reports has recently polled Americans all across the country on how they feel about our current political state. The results could not be more clear.

54% of voters want the health care bill repealed.

53% trust Republicans more on the issues, whereas only 34% trust Democrats on the issues.

Only 35% of voters think the country is headed in the right direction, and a whopping 61% believe that we are headed in the wrong direction as a country.

And lastly our President holds (as of 7 April) and approval rating of 48%. 52% disapprove.

This is the current mood of the American people. Yet of course the last thing congress or this administration would do is listen. Besides this is just a right wing pollster. Let's get the real media like CBS who just last week polled Obama at 43% approval.

Looks like America isn't so big on this whole "Hope and Change" stuff.

Were Conservatives Really In Charge for the last 8 Years?

Conservative came in and wrecked the economy. That's what any lib will tell you today. However the Cato Institute today published something that might clear some things up, and make you think twice about weather or not it was the conservatives.

Conservatives Craig Shirley and Don Devine write in the Sunday Washington Post that Karl Rove’s memoir wrongly depicts Rove and President George W. Bush as conservatives. “Big-government conservatives,” maybe, Shirley and Devine say. But not actual conservatives. After all,

From William F. Buckley Jr. to Barry Goldwater to Ronald Reagan, the creators of the modern conservative movement always taught that excessive concentration of power in government leads inevitably to corruption and the diminution of personal freedoms….

Modern American conservatism has roots in the ideas of philosopher John Locke, the founding fathers and the notion that humans’ natural state is freedom.

But Bush? He imposed strict new federal regulations on local schools and massive new costs through his prescription drug entitlement. Not to mention

steel tariffs, the creation of the Department of Homeland Security, the McCain-Feingold campaign finance law, a massive agricultural subsidy bill, and other spending and regulatory moves by the Bush administration that tilted power toward Washington and away from individuals and states.

All too true. And a point made many times by Cato Institute analysts. But Shirley and Devine could have gone further. Policies that “tilted power toward Washington”? How about the attempt to nationalize marriage law, for 200 years a matter reserved to the states? Or the Republican legislation to move the Schiavo family’s tragedy out of Florida courts and into federal court? Or they could have mentioned an administration with a vision of the Constitution that included “a president who cannot be restrained, through validly enacted statutes, from pursuing any tactic he believes to be effective in the war on terror; [and] who has the inherent constitutional authority to designate American citizens suspected of terrorist activity as ‘enemy combatants,’ strip them of any constitutional protection, and lock them up without charges for the duration of the war on terror— in other words, perhaps forever.”

The Post gave Shirley and Devine only half a page — far too little to enumerate all of the Bush administration’s assaults on limited, constitutional government. But they’ve done a service in reminding conservatives that this was no conservative administration.

Yesterday the Illinois AP reported:

"Chicago police say they're trying to put a lid on violence in the city after more than 40 shootings in the last three days have left four people dead."

Wow, 40 shootings in the last three days. What a horrible thing. Just proof that we need gun control. Oh wait- Chicago already has a gun ban. That's right the supreme court just recently ruled against the second amendment and said it was constitutional for Chicago to ban guns. Yet there are still 40 shootings in the last three days? Hmm not that's odd. I thought for sure that gun control would reduce crime and put an end to this gun nonsense.

"Police said Friday they're particularly concerned because gunmen are becoming more brazen. Police point out gunfire erupted Thursday night on the city's South Side even as more than 30 police officers were on the street nearby."

Really, you don't say, gunmen becoming MORE brazen? Even with gun control? So are you telling me, there is still gun crime even with gun control. More crime for that matter?

AI has given this guy chances to do public speaking, covered his story and is urging Western government to give "safe haven" for Gitmo detainees. So in other words, let them go. He just crashed a plane into a building and killed 3,000 people. Oh he was just their top operative. Oh those funds weren't so bad, they just funded everything they needed to kill 3,000 people. He's really a good guy. Oh yeah, a swell guy.

Give "safe haven" to gitmo detainees. These people are in schools. Public and private. Leave. If you are a member of the Amnesty International group/ club and school, college, what ever, leave. I am urging you to leave. They are not supporting American interests, but campaigning for terrorists rights. Leave the group.

Obama's Smack In The Face

Two weeks ago (wow has it been that long already?) well two weeks ago the president and congress shoved the widely unpopular health care reform bill down our throats expecting great rewards and that we would thank him.

Well today CBS poll gave him quite the opposite of thanks. The poll instead smacked him across the face. He now has a CBS 44% approval rating. Lowest all time rating for him.

Gee Mr. President you don't suppose this means anything do you?

Since the health care bill was passed he has suffered a 5% drop in approval.

Ouch! Mr. President do you want some ice on that burn? Clearly the public, isn't as grateful as you thought they would be.

Today's Labor Stats report shows us that unemployment stayed level at 9.7% today. We have added in March 162,000 jobs. Which is really good. Yet while this is good news, we must remember there is still a reason we stayed at 9.7% and that is we are still losing jobs at a relatively high rate of around 40,000 jobs a month.

This recovery was slow and not done what it was promised. We have not gotten 3 million jobs, the job growth did not happen immediately, but over a year later. Over the year it is important to remember that the work force has shrunk drastically as people under the Obama economy have stopped looking jobs. And lastly unemployment is well over 8%. The stimulus promise by president Obama was that unemployment would not go over 8%.

From these points the stimulus was a failure. It has not worked as planned and in many cases has made things worse. Personal income levels fell by an average of 1.7% last year and in some states hit around 4%.

This report is good news but we still need something to speed up this recover as Americans still are losing jobs and losing income. So let's celebrate this small victory, but then remember we still have a lot of work to do. Remember there was once a time when 4.3% was the unemployment rate. Today it is 9.7%.

A Rare Victory For Freedom & The Constitution

Remember back when Nancy Pelosi told us that we needed to pass Obamacare so we could see what's inside of it?

Well SURPRISE!!! The New York Time today did some actual reporting for a change and came out with the following exposures of some interesting little provisions in the obamacare bill.

[ * A new federal mandate on businesses of 51 or more employees to provide a private area (not a bathroom) for nursing mothers to pump breast milk for up to a year after giving birth. This means that businesses have to plan for mainly unused floor space in every facility, or face federal sanctions.
* Tanning salons now have to charge a 10% excise tax on their services. That should help the local economies!
* W-2s must now declare “informationally” the value of health-care benefits. This means that W-2s will become even more complicated and will cost businesses billions each year in extra accounting and reporting, which will hit smaller businesses most. ]

Wow. Even tanning salons are now regulated in some way by the federal government...

Today in Minnesota where i am, thermometers hit up to about 70 degrees! Ok, here comes Global Warming. We had 60 degree weather for the last two weeks, it's sunny, and very warm.

Now before we here Al Gore shoot his mouth off about Global Warming, let's look at the record high temps for March, which in Minnesota, is 80 degrees! So i don't want here him blabbering about "global warming." It's not happening. is it above average? Yes, but does the weather get funny sometimes? Absolutely, it has since the beginning of time!

Keep in mind while it is warmer than normal (slightly) now here, it snowed in the first week of October.

70 degrees today, record, 80+ degrees...yeah not so much.

"Oh but it's getting warmer, its' 70 De!-"

No. Not even close.

Today i saw a video form Chris Matthew's show the other day where he had a Tea Partier on. Now his only question really was about the "racism" and "hate" towards Obama and the democrats. He was all like; "well what do you think about all the signs with hitler mustaches and 'obama is hitler.'" and stuff like that.

So i did some research, something i'm sure Chris Matthews never does. So i googled two things. The first; Obama hitler. The second; Bush hitler.

Look at what i found:

Now the key is to look at the search results number. How many cam up for Obama, vs, how many came up for Bush. Also i'm pretty sure that no Tea Party group has made a fake-documentary of Obama's assassination like the left did with Bush.

My Morning At The Post Office

Well where do i begin. I went to the post office this morning because i needed to renew my passport. So i reluctantly took a trip to the PO where i entered into, big surprise, a lengthy line. Fortunately it went somewhat quick, but when it came time to me to do my thing, i was asked a question regarding paper work. I said i already did it, they were flustered by this and told me wait over where someone would they there right away to help while they dropped papers and sorted through things scrambling to do something. After what seemed like forever of waiting for the "help" someone finally came. One of the people i was with finally blurted out "some time today please!"

So i got picture taken and was standing in line to get my stuff mailed away when i was told i need this. Oh ok, now i need that, then i needed this again. "oh that doesn't work, no you need this." How's this? "nope that one, sure ok." Just then, someone came from the back room to the register next to me and said "so they aren't working?" and the person there said "no they aren't working, and they're slow." Ok well we'll try and get em fixed eventually." How reassuring.

After more waiting i finally mailed off my thing and was paying, after of course getting a full lecture about how i was going to pay. The person at the register next to me was still telling, well i guess she thought that they were jokes. So she would say things like "ah well if you get this it will arrive by Thursday, or around thursday at least, i don't really know when, they aren't that accurate." And i'm thinking, this is the government?

Broken machines, long lines, unorganized, and inaccurate and unreliable services. Good God almighty. If this is just the post office, then i can't wait to see Obamacare.

Florida Senate Showdown Review

I don't know if any of you watched the florida senate candidate debate last night with gov. Charlie Crist and Marco Rubio but, it was, very revealing.

I think the case is clear. If you want another Sue Collins, or an Arlen Specter than Crist is you guy. But if you want another Demint or some one who will stand for real values and not cave and flip flop like a spineless moderate, than Rubio is your guy.

On Fox News sunday with Chris Wallace yesterday gov. Cris told us his favorite senators currently, were John McCain, and Lidsay Graham. Not what is wrong with that picture? He is a total progressive. He supported the stimulus and he passed a bill with massive tax increases after making the George H.W. promise of 'no new taxes.'

He said everything he needed to when he (gov. Crist) said he was proud to be a Republican in the party of Lincoln and TEDDY ROOSEVELT and others who have championed the cause of liberty (that was paraohrased but...) Oh my God. Teddy Roosevelt and others who have supported freedom or the freedom cause or what ever he said. Teddy Roosevelt didn't even believe in private property! Teddy Roosevelt started the Progressive Party! He was the first real progressive president we had. And Crist says he is a conservative, and then is drawn to people like him.

The choice is clear to me. Rubio 2010!!!

Palm Sunday Sermon: Was Jesus a "Teabagger?"

Today in the Christian tradition is 'Palm Sunday.' The day when Jesus road into town riding on a donkey a week before his death.

So let's take a look at the text:

[ 1Then the whole assembly rose and led him off to Pilate. 2And they began to accuse him, saying, "We have found this man subverting our nation. He opposes payment of taxes to Caesar and claims to be Christ,[a] a king."

3So Pilate asked Jesus, "Are you the king of the Jews?"
"Yes, it is as you say," Jesus replied.

4Then Pilate announced to the chief priests and the crowd, "I find no basis for a charge against this man."

5But they insisted, "He stirs up the people all over Judea[b]by his teaching. He started in Galilee and has come all the way here."
--Luke 23:1-49 ]

Whoa, wait, hang on a second. Back up to that very first complaint. He opposes the payment of taxes to Caesar. Now Caesar would be the government, who is historically know for being, well, a tyrant. So he would be the big government. Now Jesus would come out and say "stop paying taxes to him. This man is a tyrant who is running an out of control government. You do not get your rights from this tyranny, but from God." Isn't that a key message from Jesus, that we get our rights from God.?

THen they complain that he stirs up people all over Judea. Ok stop. He stirs up people, into what, large crowds protesting? When you picture that, does it look anything like this,

This is a tea party. This is a protest against big taxes, and out of control government. Leader groups such as Freedom Works and Tea Party Patriots were definitely "stirring up people" there. As they started back in California on the Tea Party Express and came all the way to D.C. where 2 million protesters sat outside the capitol.

"The conservatives, they oppose paying taxes to fund our big government and claim to be patriotic [...] they stir up people all over the country. The 9/12 project started in California and has come all the way here."

So just think about that, what were the complaints of Jesus, he was against paying taxes to their massive government, the Pharisees all hated him because he rebelled against them. Ok so who were the pharisees? They were those who supposedly upheld the law, and the leaders. The Bureaucrats. He was against them, and he led protests that were "stirring up people," against the government!

That was what the Roman's complained about, when it came to Jesus. Organizing protests, and opposing taxes.

Hmmm, sounds like a "teabagger" to me.

Now i'm gonna get lots of criticism from lots of progressive Christians for this one. But this is the Bible, not my twisted right wing opinion. I simply read the text and thought, "gee, that really sounds like a tea partier, not a liberal." They always make Jesus out to be a liberal, so i thought i would share this counter view to that. That's all.

Silent Majority No More

This health care legislation that was just passed last weekend, uh, i believe is exactly what we needed to really awaken the American people.

If you look at the numbers, the public, is hugely against this bill.

The opposition is now at 60% (CNN), 62% want the GOP to keep fighting this (Gallup), and Rasmussen Reports, says that 55% want this bill repealed.

I believe that if we expose this bill, if we point, to the new taxes and fees, and if we shout this threw the roof top, we can take back the house in 201.

This bill is widely unpopular. At least, by the American people. Abroad it has recently been endorsed by Fidel Castro. Ya know the former communist dictator of Cuba!

People are waking up. The polls are showing it, Obama took a dip in his poll numbers, are down a little bit, Quinnipiac, has him with a 45-46 negative rating, Rasmussen has an even grimmer tale for the president, in their poll his down 45-53%!

And his RCP average is 47.1% approval, which is around the second or third wost ever from RCP average.

So the people are waking up, and this should be an interesting november.

Lately in the media, mainly on Tuesday and Wednesday, we heard a story about a congressman, who's office window had a rock throw at it and was smashed. The media of course reported it as an act by some deranged Tea Bagger.

So this is the media, uh trying to, to discredit the Tea Party movement. This is their desperation shot. It was very convincing until one reporter actually called the congressman and said, ya know, did this happen, and he said 'no.'

What is amazing about this is how many people believed it. How many people acted as though it were true, and the Tea Party movement has now been demonized like crazy over the last week.

Although the best part of this is that, the congressman who's window was supposedly smashed, his office is on the 30th floor! So you would have to have a pretty strong arm to do that. I mean to shatter a window with a rock, on the 30th floor of a building. Ah but that's the media for you. Desperate.

Health Bill Is the Spark to the Conservative Movement

The battle is lost, but the war is far from over. Today 14 attorney generals have joined together to file suit against the Federal government for their unconstitutional act to force citizens in their state’s to buy health insurance.

This bill being passed may actually have been a good thing. The conservative revolution has been loud for a while now but this health care reform may have been our holy grail. Not the lefts but ours. This has sent the public into a revolt. A recent CNN poll said 60% are opposed to this bill. Rasmussen says that 44% want the GOP to keep fighting this, and another 40+% want this bill to be repealed. The American people are angry. This is exactly what we needed. Something to light the spark to our rocket that will blast us to victory in 2010.

Is Obama Dictatorial?

Over the weekend the health care bill passed, with Stupak support. The president agreed to find an executive order banning federal funs for abortion and restricting certain abortions under provisions in the bill.

Now Roe V. Wade is now rearing its head into this. Roe V. Wade says that woman have a right to abortions. They are legal. That is constitutional, the law of the land. So now Obama, decides “oh no, I’m just gonna sign an executive order, and completely override Roe V. Wade.” So with the stroke of a pen he has violated the law of the land, and it’s perfectly ok. This congress, if the president now has the power to sign a piece of paper and override the constitution and overrule the law of the land, this congress has created dictator. This is exactly what our founders broke away from. This president has become a King.

We are no longer a constitutional republic; we’ve known that for a while now. But I never imagined it would come to this. I knew he would be radical. I knew he was going to be socialist. But a dictator? Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine such a thing to happen.

If this president gets away with this, if he can usurp the law like this, and no one challenges him on this, we are in big trouble. So just sit back and watch your country wash away. Your voice doesn’t matter any more. That’s what congress just told you, “sit down, and shut up! We’re in control!”

Dems: Obamacare WILL Create Jobs!, Caterpillar: Not So Fast

Remember back last winter when Obama gave his stimulus pitch to the construction equipment company, insisting that they would be able to hire workers that the just laid off with the porkulus?

With the health care debate escalating to higher levels, the dems are doing everything they can to get this passed. They are insisting that it will create millions of jobs. So now, who of all people should challenge this claim? Caterpillar.

[Caterpillar Inc. said the health-care overhaul legislation being considered by the U.S. House would increase the company’s health-care costs by more than $100 million in the first year alone.

In a letter Thursday to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and House Republican Leader John Boehner of Ohio, Caterpillar urged lawmakers to vote against the plan “because of the substantial cost burdens it would place on our shareholders, employees and retirees.”
Caterpillar, the world’s largest construction machinery manufacturer by sales, said it’s particularly opposed to provisions in the bill that would expand Medicare taxes and mandate insurance coverage. The legislation would require nearly all companies to provide health insurance for their employees or face large fines.

The Peoria-based company said these provisions would increase its insurance costs by at least 20 percent, or more than $100 million, just in the first year of the health-care overhaul program.]

This contradicts many promises made by the dems about their bill. It will cause Caterpillars insurance costs to go up by at least 20%!!!

Obama's Big Dip

David Boaz from the Cato Institute this morning had a great summary of what kind of candidates he is supporting. His description meets mine 100%.

[It’s that time of year again, when friends start telling me about this or that candidate I should support because he or she is a dedicated defender of liberty and limited government. I’m a political junkie, so I love getting these recommendations. But I don’t end up supporting or contributing to many candidates. In my view, it’s not enough for a candidate to say that he’s ”committed to slashing wasteful spending, providing tax relief, and eliminating red tape.” What’s your actual tax plan? What spending do you propose to cut or eliminate? Not many of them offer clear answers to that.

And liberty involves more than just economics. Often I’m told, “Congressman X is a libertarian.” I always check, and then I say, “He voted for the war, the Patriot Act, and the Federal Marriage Amendment. Sounds like a conservative.” Now a conservative who opposed President George W. Bush’s trillion-dollar spending increase, his Medicare expansion, and his stepped-up federal involvement in education is a lot better than your average member of Congress. But those votes do not a libertarian make.

This year I’m looking for candidates who stand for freedom across the board, who want government constrained by the Constitution, who believe in the principles of individual liberty, limited government, free markets, and peace.

And that means I don’t want to back candidates who support

* the war in Iraq
* the war in Afghanistan
* war with Iran
* the war on drugs
* the constitutional amendment to override state marriage laws and make gay people second-class citizens
* the president’s power to snatch American citizens off the street and hold them without access to a lawyer or a judge

Correcting Obama's Statements

As i have said before, Obama has a gift. Most people can agree with that. His gift is that he can look you straight in the face and lie. He can tell a complete lie, that everyone knows is a lie, and go on to his next remark.

Now the other night when Obama was speaking, he made the ridiculous claim that his reform would lower premiums by double digest. Actually he said 14-20%. This claim is simply false.

The Congressional Budget Office scored the health care bill and concluded that premiums would rise by 10-13%.

The reason it would appear to be less is that they could be offset with a tax credit, making it seem to be lower.

Obama later suggested that employers would see their premiums go down by 300%. Wow, that's shocking alright. It is also a lie. Later that night the White House Spokesman said that Obama meant to say that anual premiums would drop by about $3,000.

Keep in mind, this does not figure the new taxes, and regulations that will surely drive up costs.

Both of Obama's claims the other night, are widely inaccurate.

Car Insurance Mandate

Here is an excerpt from CNN's American Morning:

[ROBERTS: But why is it mandate for having health insurance a bad thing? There's a mandate for having car insurance.

ARMEY: Well, first of all, you have to understand, America is a nation that was founded on the concept of personal liberty, that liberty is a gift given to mankind by the Lord God Almighty and it's the duty of governments to protect your liberty.

ROBERTS: Do you have car insurance?

ARMEY: Not to trespass against your liberty.

ROBERTS: Do you have car insurance?

ARMEY: Do I have car insurance? Of course, I have car insurance.

ROBERTS: You have to have car insurance.]

Now this would be a very good argument, if car insurance and health insurance mandates were the same. In this case Washington D.C. is mandating that people buy something. Whereas for car insurance the state is mandating it. Also not every state does it either. The government can't tell you to carry a baby to full term if you choose not to, so why then do they get to decide that you must purchase health insurance?

This argument falls apart once you start dissecting the car insurance mandate. The car insurance is a high risk catastrophic plan. Much like the GOP idea of 'high risk pools.' But that idea has been shot down by democrats. Back to the main point, one's car insurance does not cover their tire changes, tune ups, car washes or oil changes. One's car is not covered for windshield replacements or, for getting gas.

Thus these are thus two different and incompatible concepts.

Constitution Rips The Health Care Bill

Article 1, Section 7 of the US constitution says that in order for a bill to "become law" it must "have passed the House of Representatives and the Senate." Thus, unless a bill is passed in both the house and senate it cannot be presented to the president.

Now the constitution also says that the bill cannot be deemed to be an enactment of another.

The Heritage Foundation has exposed the plan to pass this bill in Washington:

[Here’s the idea: (1) pass a rule to bring to the floor a “reconciliation” measure that would detoxify certain provisions in the Senate-passed health-reform bill, and (2) insert in the rule a sentence that “deems” the Senate bill to have passed the House.]

BUT if you look at what the constitution says about a bill being deemed an enactment of another, this plan is unconstitutional. This bill cannot go through without violating the constitution

For the "Slaughter Rule" to pass the House would pass the senate bill adding amendments to it. The senate would then vote on that amendatory bill only. Thus no single bill would pass both houses, but instead two variations of a bill.

Heritage also pointed out that in 1998 in Clinton v. NYC the supreme court ruled that, a bill containing the “exact text” must be approved by one house; the other house must approve “precisely the same text.”

Therefore the Slaughter Rule, which would allow the house to pass the senate and the senate to vote on the amended bill would be breaking that law as they do not contain the exact same text.

Dems Embrace Evil

[In a memo sent to freshman and sophomore lawmakers, Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.), a member of the House leadership, urges lawmakers to make special accomodations to prepare for the protesters, ranging from refreshments to extra staff members…

Among the suggestions:

Consider having some light snacks, H2O, and coffee available;

Have multiple guest books/comment sheets available for all visitors to sign-in and leave comments;

Have a Capitol Directory and map available to direct visitors to their Member of Congress and written instructions on how to get over to the Senate side of the Hill]

Wait. I thought the tea partiers were just evil racists who are joined in an angry klan like mob?

Why are the democrats catering to them? Are the democrats embracing this evil?

Why Tax Cuts Do Create Revenue: My Response to Edward Lotterman

In an article i read yesterday entitled "Economists Agree: Tax Cuts Don't Create Revenue" the author, Edward Lotterman, insisted that reductions in tax rates do not, as many economists and politicians say "pay for themselves."

Lotterman wrote; "University of Michigan economist Joel Slemrod is adamant on one of the key economic issues of our day: 'Tax cuts don't pay for themselves! Period!'

Hardly any economist would disagree. This is true for Republicans as well as Democrats. It is also true regardless of whether they describe themselves as NeoClassical, New Classical, Rational Expectations, Monetarist, Keynesian, Austrian or New Institutional economists."

There you have it. All economists. All economists except for; Larry Kudlow, Stephen Moore, John Rutledge, Jude Wanniski, Bruce Bartlett and other notable Supply-side economists and economic insiders such as Alan Greenspan, Steve Forbes, Arthur Laffer, Robert Mundell, and past supply-siders like Adam Smith, and Alexander Hamilton. Since hardly any economist would disagree. Who are these people then?

The article went on to say that; " For 90 years, virtually all have agreed that the way to deal with external costs like pollution is to tax whatever causes it."

Yes this is true. The best way to curb things, such as pollution, is to tax what causes it. To best way to curb smoking as they learned in New York, is to tax it. As a result the Washington Post says smoking has gone down in New York. Now, to me, this argument seems counter productive for some of Mr. Lotterman's views. For using his own argument, i can then make the case that the best way to curb economic activity and growth, is to tax what causes it, which would be people's income. Like taxing non-fuel efficient cars and energy usage if i tax income and investments, just like pollution, economic activity will go down.

However the point that he misses in his claims are that tax cuts generally increase economic activity. The more energy usage and the more non-eco friendly devices, the more pollution. So the more income, the more economic activity. So if people have more money, they will spend more, which, leads to more revenue. This is why many are attracted to what is known as the 'Fair Tax' which is a 25% national sales tax in substitute for the income tax.

Lotterman rambles on saying that: "...and the idea that a tax cut would increase tax revenue is particularly dangerous. Since the federal budget was last near balance a decade ago, we have been running persistent deficits that increased the national debt, adjusted for inflation, by 57 percent from 2001 to 2009."

Perhaps Mr. Lotterman would like to dive into how that surplus turned into a deficit? It's very simple. Government spending. The truth is from 2003-2006 we had solid economic growth. The problem, and why we didn't have more growth, was spending. We had a multi trillion dollar war, a 7 trillion dollar RX drug, and a 400 billion dollar stimulus.

Listen to this from the Tax Foundation: "...I'm not sure what Bernstein's definition of "high economic growth" would be, but if he's implying that there is no evidence that lower tax rates help promote economic growth, he's way off the mark. Of course, it's not always the case that a tax rate cut will promote economic growth given that there must be some spending offset, but I could come up with a pretty good list of tax rate cuts financed by spending cuts that would increase economic growth."

The Bush tax cuts greatly helped the economy, but i suppose Mr. Lotterman isn't interested in seeing the facts.

Fact: GDP grew at an annual rate of just 1.7 percent in the six quarters before the 2003 tax cuts. In the six quarters following the tax cuts, the growth rate was 4.1 percent.

Fact: The economy lost 267,000 jobs in the six quarters before the 2003 tax cuts. In the next six quarters, it added 307,000 jobs, followed by 5 million jobs in the next seven quarters.

This shows that the economy greatly improved after the tax cuts. Yet again spending is the problem. You don't have to be an economist to known that no matter how much money you rake in if you blow it all you want find much revenue.

The article goes further to say: "The Reagan administration did cut corporate and personal income tax rates and closed loopholes, thus broadening the base of income subject to taxation. And government revenues at the end of the administration were higher than at the beginning. However, they would have risen even more without the tax cuts."

Well that is like saying you lose a game but you would have won if this or that had happened. Well i didn't happen. So how can you say that revenue would've been higher? That's like "I would've done better if it was indoors." Really would you have been better? You have nothing to compare it to so you don't know.

I go back to my original point. In New York they increased their already highest cigarette tax in the country tax. As a result, they got less smoking. So less cig 'revenue.' If they lowered it, they would get more smoking revenue off of cigarettes. The same applies to income and taxes.

Case closed. Game over Lotterman.

Some Where Buried in the Rubble of the Unemployment Benefits Bill, is Health Care Reform

The senate has recently passed an unemployment benefits bill. Great huh? Yet somewhere deep down, buried in all the rubble is a provision for health care. Snuck in through the back door health care reform is being implemented. These provisions are again, taking health care the wrong way. Here are some of those provisions:

* COBRA or Nothing. The bill would give premium relief only to those unemployed workers who opt for COBRA coverage. It is well documented that COBRA coverage is one of the most expensive options available to those who lose their jobs. Workers would be better served if they were able to decide whether to use this temporary assistance on COBRA or another more affordable option, including policies available in the individual market.
* Another Medicaid Bailout. The bill would continue to use federal taxpayer funds to bailout state Medicaid programs. While state budgets are crippled by Medicaid, the solution is not to transfer the cost on the federal taxpayers. Instead, Congress should get serious about Medicaid reform and grant states the flexibility they need to fix the program.
* More Delay on the Doctor Fix. The bill would delay automatic Medicare reimbursement cuts to doctors. Cleverly, Congressional leaders removed this costly fix from their health care overhaul and instead have kicked the can down the road one more time. This will enable them to say that the health care legislation is deficit neutral. Senate Congressional leaders should get serious about a permanent fix of the Medicare reimbursement for doctors once and for all, and find some way to offset its cost, rather than adding the additional costs to the deficit.

So this is the box car legislation option. To sneak it through in separate legislation pieces. Of course not meaning snuck into other non-related legislation. This just goes to show, that we need to be very careful what we pass. Just because the bill might get shot down, doesn't mean that health care reform is dead.

Minnesota Tea Party

Today, about an hour ago, thousands of people gathered at the Minnesota State Capitol to protest the health care reform bill.

Star Tribune Reported:

[The message that echoed across the State Capitol grounds Saturday couldn’t have been simpler: “Kill the bill!”

A day after congressional Democratic leaders announced their final legislative push to enact a bill to overhaul the nation’s health care system, opponents rallied to send a noisy contrary message. Rally organizers said 4,000 people attended, but Capitol police estimated the crowd at 2,000 or less.]

So even deep blue Minnesota is protesting against this bill.

Thousands of patriots gathered to here today and it was right in my back yard. As a Minnesotan i was shocked to see this. Most of you known that Minnesota is severely liberal. in 84 when Reagan took 49 states, the one that didn't, was Minnesota.

For once i am proud of Minnesota politics and activists. A rare moment of truth for the political landscape of Minnesota. This is much greater than the 1,000 people who protested last spring on Tax Day. My how the Tea Party Movement has grown.

[Three years ago, then-Sen. Obama and prominent African-American organizations thought a hike in the minimum wage would empower minorities.

So how much should workers be paid? $100 per hour? $25 per hour? $7.25 per hour (the current federal rate)? Or zero? For 95 percent of workers a wage of a $100 per hour would be a significant raise. But most people understand that very few people would have jobs at a minimum wage of $100 per hour — so there are few, if any, advocates for that rate.

After a nine-year battle, when July's increase in the minimum wage took effect, the Democratic Policy Council declared, "This was a long overdue raise for American workers." Maybe for some workers, but the 3 million blacks currently unemployed are now feeling the pain.

The minimum wage hike has cost employers more, an additional $2.10 per hour, and forced employers to lay off many minimum-wage workers — most of them young people who had their first real job — causing for an overall rise in black unemployment.]

Ok so what we have here, is that classic case, that no job is better than a lower paying job. Sounds crazy doesn't it. And no one would ever openly argue that. Yet the left does all the time. They just have better ways of phrasing it such as, a minimum wage for workers.

As this begins to point out, employers pay extra for minimum wage workers, so an increase means layoffs, and who do you think are the first to go? Young, sometimes poor, maybe black, people who now instead of having a low paying job, have no job. Now honestly, which sounds better? Having a job earning lets say $6.00 an hour, or being unemployed earning no money an hour?

Now first, i think there is a huge connection, between minimum wage, and welfare. Here's the game. Raising minimum wage will surely pass as they have a monopoly argument that if you oppose this you hate poor people and don't want people to survive. Then when it does pass, and they are laid-off, where do they go? Oh they go the welfare state where they learn to become dependent on the government. And then who do they vote for? That's the trick. You get more people dependent on the government.

Eugenics have come to America. The practice of killing off people for the sole sake of money and ridding us of the undesirable. This is like the Nazis in the 1930s. It began with claiming that children, babies and elderly were a waste of money. This is how it began. Now Democrats are telling us, that some babies aren't worth the costs to the health care system. Thus we should support abortion, and kill them. Now for the most part i consider my self to be rather pro-choice, but this is beyond anything i ever imagined. This health care bill has made me more pro-life than i ever thought i would be.

While this claim has pissed me off to no end, i do recognize that while the abortion window seems to be closing, perhaps this is the wedge we need to shove through and block this bill. Stupak and other pro-life house democrats can, no, MUST scream this through the roof tops. This claim is radical and fascist. Such a claim could surely run a nice TV ad.

A Clean Case Against Hate Crimes

I ask this not as a talking point for an argument but as a philosophical question for proponents of hate crime legislation.

Regardless of race, or sexual preference or religion, isn't a human always a human. So then for one to hurt another human is always a hateful thing. To harm another human without reason is always a hate crime.

The fascists are at large in this country indeed. The left propagandists are not just satisfied with control of our free speech and limitations of property, but now they seek control of our thoughts. It is like i have said before, in Nazi Germany crime punishment would be much higher if one was a Jew supporter. So if you thought, ok remember these are your thoughts, if you THOUGHT that the Jews were good, you would pay a higher price for your crime. This is pure fascism as the government then intervenes and attempts to direct your thoughts. Now the US has never stooped to this level of fascism, yet with hate crimes that day has come. We now are telling you what you think and trying to alter your views.

What hate crimes do is say that it is better to kill some one who stole your wallet, but it is not okay to kill or harm some one who is black. If it's because he is black or Jewish, or gay, then that is the end of the world. But oh, he just broke into your car last night that's fine go ahead.

So that leads me to this question: Is it any more wrong to kill some one for any reason, no matter what? Isn't killing still killing. The point is you are taking a human life. So then since certain killings are worse than others, are certain people better than others? Are some worth more? Are some people more or less human than others that we need to make these distinctions?

Now as far as law goes, every "hate crime" or "act of hate" already has law against it. You cannot murder by law, you can not steal by law, you may not harass another person, you may not abuse or sexually assault some one by law. Thus every "act of hate" is already covered. The only difference is the law does not make a distinction of race or sexuality. The law says that you can't kill people, it does not say that you can't kill gay people. Gays are people too right? Isn't that what GLBT groups say? So then why do they require distinctions? They are humans just as straight people.

This legislation also denies equal protection under the law since two people who commit the same crime may depending on the circumstances of the crime (ie orientation or race of victim) suffer two very different punishments.

In short, hate crime legislation is unfair and makes it appear as if some are more human than others that they require distinctions to be made when the victim of a crime. It is not any better to kill some one based on "hate" or based on personal conflict or no reason at all. Considering serial killers simply kill who ever the hell they want, are those people worth less, are they less human than gay people who are killed. Also since many people in this country are gay or black or mexican, or jewish, or muslim than who decides weather it is a hate crime or not. A family could decide their victim was gay, therefore it was a hate crime, even if the criminal was unaware of that.

Hate crime legislation is fascism at its best. it promotes favoritism and deems people more human than others. It is legally unnecessary and denies equal protection under the law. All reasons why we should get rid of hate crime legislation.

Health Reform Runs Into A Brick Wall

Today the 41 GOP senators signed a pledge to vote against any effort to reinstate the 'public option' in the health care reform bill. They will all vote against any effort to overturn the Bryd Rule (reconciliations may only be used for budgetary provisions.) It would take 60 votes to overturn that which they will not get as all 41 Republicans would vote no.

[ The GOPers’ pledge amounts to a threat to block any changes sought by Senate Democrats on issues like abortion or immigration, or perhaps the reintroduction of the public option to the healthcare bill.

“We wish to inform you that we will oppose efforts to waive the so-called Byrd Rule during Senate consideration of any reconciliation bill concerning health reform,” the senators wrote. “As it takes 60 votes to waive the Byrd Rule, we can ensure that any provision that trips the Byrd Rule will be stripped from the bill, which will require that the bill be sent back to the House for further consideration and additional votes.”

The letter has the effect of putting Reid and Democrats on notice that any attempt to go beyond the scope of budget reconciliation rules will be met with fierce GOP opposition. ]

Yes, We Do Need Tort Reform

An 8 year old girl was behind a truck hauling a load of product destined for market. The truck driver put his truck in reverse without checking to see if anything was behind him and ran over the 8 year.

The 8 year old survived, but will be permanently physically disabled. She won $24.3 million in damages.

Sounds relatively reasonable, doesn’t it?

Now, let’s add some facts. The girl was the daughter of the truck driver. The truck driver loaded the girl and her mother into his big rig for a long haul trip for work, with a stop over to visit relatives. The shipping company had no idea and did not give its permission.

When the truck driver decided to leave a stop, he did not bother to make sure his daughter was in the truck with him. He backed up and ran over his own daughter.

So he does what people in California apparently do. He sued someone else. And the people of California did what they apparently do. They gave him money. Of course the jury was not told any of the facts below paragraph 2 of this post. The judge wouldn’t let them.

It is the liberal dream that we can no longer be held liable for our own actions and choices in life. All of us are destined to live together tangled on the government safety net because we might injure ourselves swinging from the trapeze of life.

Ain’t life grand in the Obamatopia? Because California is where we’re all headed on the road to hell.

In politics rarely does one get a second try or a 'do-over.' Yet this fall conservative Doug Hoffman who narrowly lost this past fall will make another go at the NY-23 as he seeks to defeat Bill Owens again. This past fall the drove out the Republican and ran as the Conservative Party candidate. This time around after gaining popularity in the Tea Party movement and the Republicans he will run as for the GOP.

In a letter to supporters Hoffman said this:
Dear Friends and Supporters:

Since early January I have been weighing the idea of once again running for the 23rd Congressional District seat. During that time I travelled throughout the district, meeting and speaking with men and women who supported me in last fall's hard fought campaign. I did a lot of listening. Their words of encouragement and continued support touched my heart and soul. Their kind thoughts are often repeated to me by total strangers who have approached me while I am at the gas station, in the grocery store, or out to dinner with Carol, my wife.

Back in January I commissioned a poll. The results were encouraging. The poll showed that 74% of Republicans who vote in primaries thought I should run again. 71% thought I could win back the congressional seat in next November's election. But, perhaps more importantly, the vast majority of Republicans said they would cast their vote for me in a Republican primary.

But, perhaps, what has influenced me the most is what I have seen and heard in my professional life, not my political one. As many of you know I am a Certified Public Accountant. My firm has five offices across the Congressional District and literally thousands of clients. January through April is our "busy season" as we prepare tax returns for clients that represent an economic cross cross-section of New York and the nation.

The months ahead will be filled with hard work; because, I realize you don't inherit a nomination...you have to work for it. 19% would like to see him governor a year from now. Only 14% want him in the US senate, and a whopping 56% want him out of public office.

I think, Marco Rubio can at the very least claim the GOP candidacy now. Sorry Charlie.

Note, a few things i would like to point out, are the cost fer person, which is about 40,000 dollars. Then i would like to draw your attention to the cost per tax payer, which is 114,000. Now still on tax payers. As of today their are almost 110 million tax payers. This is a nation with 3.5 million people. And only 110 million them, are paying taxes! This is crazy! This is insanity and it is unfair, and unsustainable.

Also note the savings per person was 984 dollars! Ha! What a joke.

Massa-Gate

Today democratic Congressman Eric Massa officially resigned due to an 'ethics violation.'

Yet was this the true reason he "resigned." And why so quickly? Well of course he faced massive pressure from fellow democrats. Gee I wonder why.

On his weekly radio show yesterday he explained:

“I was set up for this from the very, very beginning," this is very revealing, yes please do tell me more, "You think that somehow they didn’t come after me to get rid of me because my vote is the deciding vote in the health care bill? Then, ladies and gentlemen, you live today in a world that is so innocent as to not understand what’s going on in Washington, D.C.”

Mkay so this is a democrat. Alright, so a democrat, one of the Stupak democrats i suppose, or just a democrat who, wasn't gonna vote for this bill. So the democrats, threw him out. No Eric Massa did not resign due to a massive ethics violation, the dems could care less about ethics, trust me. He was instead shoved out the door and sent packing due to his stance on the health care bill. The dems sacrificed one their own, for a vote.

So now, New York has to decide, do we want a special election, or not? Do we want to face another election debacle and give the 'Nos' one more vote, or do we wait until fall, and while we don't get another vote, they also don't get another vote. So either way, they will not get another vote. They lose that vote. BUT the bad side is, now the communists, only need 216 votes to pass it! So in other words, instead of trying to reform politics in Washington and come up with some sort of "compromise" (which the left seems to like to do) they start hacking away and cheating their way to victory. In short, Obama has not changed Washington, but instead escalated politics to its worst it has ever been. So much for hope and change.

This is the time, when we will see the full arm come slamming down from the left, as they need a few more votes, and our nation as we know it will begin on a downward spiral.

The democrats have bribed for votes, they have lied for votes, and now they have sent their own party members packing for the vote.

Massa finally made this scaling remark about Rahm Emanuel, “He is an individual who would sell his mother to get a vote. He would strap his children to the front end of a steam locomotive.”

Point & Counter Point: Big Oil

Me: Exxon Mobile, who by the way, is leading the way in natural gas innovation, just pointing that out. Alright Exxon makes...

Lib: They make about 45 billion dollars a year.

Me: Oh, i know and it's so terrible that they make so much money right?

Lib: Well that's 45 billion dollars that they just greddily pocket for themselves-

Me: ooh greedily. I'm gonna have to start using that.

Me: Ok, but what if i told you that Exxon Mobile doesn't just, pocket all of that for themselves.

In fact, here is a nice statistic for you, last year "big oil" made, yes 45.2 billion dollars, yet of that their profit margin of that, was only 9%. Of that "outrageous" 45 billion, they profit 9%.

Lib: Oh, so well, that is still-

Me: Not, even close to what you thought?

Why don't you go after "big internet?" Last year Google's profit margin was 25%. Now that is 16% higher than Exxon Mobile who just, makes, obscene amounts right? How about we take a look at the "Big Beer Brewers" who also hulled a 25% profit margin last year?

Me: Or how about Microsoft? Last year Application Software around a 20% profit margin. More that Exxon Mobile.

Lib: Right but they still make a ton of money and a lot of it is just saved for themselves.

Me: Let me ask you, if you get some money, say from your parents or something, do you just go to school the next day and just hand it out all over? Do you just walk up to your classmates and teachers and go "here have money?"

Lib: No, but like if some one asks for some money i mean i guess i would but otherwise not-

Lib: No, well right no i don't. Oil companies still make a lot of money. The point isn't compared to who-

Me: No, no, no, no your argument was Oil Companies make way too much money, and i told you they don't make all of it, hardly, any of it, and then i said, even that is not much at all compared to things like Google. Or Nike, a shoe company, who had a profit margin last year of 10.7%

Obama Steering the Sinking Ship

Just 25% think that the country is headed in the right direction says a new Rasmussen Poll. This in contrary to the 69% who think we are headed in the wrong direction.

The 25% number, is the lowest percentage since Obama took office. Only 1/4 the the country believes that we are headed in the right direction. The other 3/4th agree that we are like a headed for a disaster.

Voter confidence is way down. So who do you think will pay the price this November? Put simply, some politicians, (they know who they are) better start packing.

This is a progressive, counter movement to the Tea Party movement. Uh, this, i have to say, is the best thing that has happened in politics, for the right wing, in a long time. I thought the economy, and the soaring unemployment would do it, no. This is fantastic.

This is basically, all the progressives, who are so critical of the 'tea baggers' and think they are loud angry racists, they're are saying, "look ya know it worked for them, maybe, maybe we should try to create a bagger movement." Now, first, is this then, an Astro-Turf movement? Nancy Pelosi? Is this astro-turf? A fake movement that was deisgned not to support anything and certainly didn't rise up from the 'grass roots' but was simply made up on the spot and just came out of nowhere like that.

This is great. I hope this gets bigger. It will just show that the left is giving in. They are desperate. That is what is comes down to. The left is desperate. Why else would they attempt a protest style activist movement to try and gain votes. Because they have run out of options.

Second, is this not the left, conceding? They know the Tea Party is effective, so they try their own, thus giving in to the Tea Party style protests. Copying the right's strategy. This is like the two kids in school who have to build some sort of device for say science class. And the one is very critical of the other's. "What a stupid idea! That'll never work! You suck!" Then when the due date rolls around and all of the kids are showing their device, the one kids, the critical one, has the exact same design as the other who was initially so critical of! "Well maybe, it does work. I thought i'd give it try."

At this point, i think even my math is better than the White House. And trust me i stink at math. This is not the first projection that is wrong. If you recall earlier this past summer the White House had a debt estimation wrong, that one by 2 trillion.

This article, points out that by 2020, if we continue down this path, the national debt will be at 90% of our economy. Have you people all lost your minds!? 90%. That is unheard of. 90% of the US economy. Well, at least it's a good thing Obama is cutting the national debt in half like he promised.

Unemployment Not As Good As It Seems

Today the Census Bureau released the unemployment report for February. The result was quite pleasing at a first glance. Unemployment for last month remained steady at 9.7%. Every field except construction has been adding or remained level at jobs.

Yet while it is tempting to rejoice over this and the fact that only 36,000 jobs were shed last month the actual unemployment rate is much worse. in the last two months 250,000 people left the workforce completely. So the fact that 64,000 jobs were lost in the last two months is widely inaccurate. When you factor in the people who left the workforce, in the last two months we have lost 310,000 jobs. The president thus still has a lot of work to do in order to 'fix' our economy.

In fact the most likely reason unemployment stayed the same this month is due to the large number of people who became 'discouraged workers' (left the workforce.)

In short, despite the report from the Census Bureau today, unemployment is still a major problem and is not getting much better.
