Culver's now take a post to hope the speedy recovery of conservative talk host Rush Limbaugh. I find it appalling that some libs in this country are wishing him ill and cheering at his sickness.
While i disagree with some of his far right views, i acknowledge his contribution to the media world. In short i hope Limbaugh gets better soon.

New AirLine Regulations
WASHINGTON (AP) — Some airlines were telling passengers on Saturday that new government security regulations prohibit them from leaving their seats beginning an hour before landing
The regulations are a response to a suspected terrorism incident on Christmas Day.
Air Canada said in a statement that new rules imposed by the Transportation Security Administration limit on-board activities by passengers and crew in U.S. airspace. The airline said that during the final hour of flight passengers must remain seated. They won't be allowed access to carryon baggage or to have any items on their laps.
----------
Dumb. Stupid. Worst attempt yet. Horrible rules. Not enough. I'm speechless at this pathetic attempt. Can't some one bring down a plane at the beginning of a flight? why the last hour? A lap top? What about my iPod can i have that on my lap?
At least make it the whole flight because this will do nothing.

Feinstein Says No More Gitmo Detanies To Yemen
“Guantanamo detainees should not be released to Yemen at this time, it is too unstable."
Those words come to us from Sen. Dianne Franken-Feinstein (D-CA)
Oh so this is interesting now. Obama's efforts to ship out Gitmoers to other countries, this has now stirred up talk and has lead to a major terror attack. Perhaps it is the new Obama idea of giving terrorists to other countries that has lit the match for this fire.
Now even the stalinist Dianne Franken-Feinstein is telling Obama, stop. No more terrorists to Gitmo.
Now John McCain and Joe Leiberman also wrote letters to the president saying the same thing. So now he can ignore them, which he will because it comes from an oppositional view. So he'll probably campaign for their opponent on his next late night show appearance. But he cannot ignore franeknst-i mean Feinstein. The far left is speaking Obama. And they are siding with the right.

Health Care Battle Is Not Over Yet
"Although the left has been celebrating the passage of Obamacare in the Senate as further evidence that the President’s health care reform initiative is a done deal the health care reform fight is not over. The truth is that this bill can not yet be transmitted to the President until very different versions of Obamacare are reconciled. The House and Senate must agree on what to send to the President for his signature before this fight is over."
--The Foundry
This is long from over. The House and Senate can't agree on anything. The House wants a sweeping government run public option, well the senate doesn't really like that idea they want this god-awful medicare buy in or what ever it is, the house thinks that sucks.
The House wants to kill the senate bill, so that right there tells ya, we got a long ways before this is settled. The House also wants a complete ban on tax payer funded abortions, hence the Stupak amendment. The senate on the other hand wants public funded abortions.
This is a mess, and i would say i have to side with the house on this one. We need to kill the senate bill, and start over.

Rasmussen: Nelson Down In Polls
"If Governor Dave Heineman challenges Nelson for the Senate job, a new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey shows that Heineman would get 61% of the vote while Nelson would get just 30%."
This a major reaction to Nelson's latest health care reform decisions.

Dems Surrender At Cap N' Trade
Bruised by the health care debate and worried about what 2010 will bring, moderate Senate Democrats are urging the White House to give up now on any effort to pass a cap-and-trade bill next year.
“I am communicating that in every way I know how,” says Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-La.), one of at least half a dozen Democrats who’ve told the White House or their own leaders that it’s time to jettison the centerpiece of their party’s plan to curb global warming. …
“We need to deal with the phenomena of global warming, but I think it’s very difficult in the kind of economic circumstances we have right now,” said Indiana Democratic Sen. Evan Bayh, who called passage of any economy-wide cap and trade “unlikely.” …
“I’d just as soon see that set aside until we work through the economy,” said Sen. Ben Nelson (D-Neb.). “What we don’t want to do is have anything get in the way of working to resolve the problems with the economy.”
“Climate change in an election year has very poor prospects,” added Sen. Kent Conrad (D-N.D.). “I’ve told that to the leadership.”

What Did I tell Ya, There Will Be More Terrorist Attacks
Yesterday, the White House announced that there had been “an attempted act of terrorism” aboard a trans-Atlantic Northwest Airlines flight arriving from Amsterdam as it was preparing to land in Detroit. [] The suspect reportedly had explosive powder taped to his leg and tried to light it on fire. He told investigators he was given the device by al Qaeda operatives in Yemen...

Yaya, he goes on says he has connections to al Qaeda. Any way, this is now, the, what i believe 6th terror attack or threat under this administration. There was the Anthrax threat back in the early spring, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bL0HoVO946g, and there were the three terror attack broken up in the summer, there was Fort Hood And now this.
Six attempts/attacks in less than a year. Now in 8 years of Bush we had 2. 9/11 and the broken up attack on LA.
And they (libs) said we were racist and crazy for thinking there would be more terror attacks. Who's crazy now?

If This Was A Conservative Talk Radio Host...
Below is a transcript of the relevant portion of the Sunday, December 27, Reliable Sources on CNN:
HOWARD KURTZ: Would you say, as an anchor, that Diane Sawyer has a more emotional style?
DAVID ZURAWIK, BALTIMORE SUN: There’s no doubt about it. And, in fact, they’re presenting her in a closer and more personal way.
KURTZ: How?
ZURAWIK: Well, the camera is much tighter on her, for one thing. I was struck the first night. I thought, "Oh, my God, we’re right on top of her." But it works with her, it works with her. Across the board, that newscast cosmetically is a warmer, more inviting place. The lights seem brighter. The graphics – and they said they are using new graphics – seem larger. It’s very attractive. Even one of the nights like last week, Howei, she was wearing a pinstripe suit. But it was either beige or cream. It was softer. It wasn’t gray or black. It’s a much more inviting kind of place.
KURTZ: Usually, we don’t do fashion reviews on this program, so I’ll go to Gail Shister. All right, all right.
ZURAWIK: No, no, no, but they haven’t sacrificed the journalism one bit. That’s the point I want to make, Howie.
KURTZ: Gail Shister, how well did Diane make the transition form morning news to the evening shows?
GAIL SHISTER, TVNEWSER: Well, first of all, Howie, I personally have no problem being right on top of Diane Sawyer...
_ _ _ _ _
So there you have it. Typical main stream left wing media entertainment here. You have CNN TV Newser making a sexual jokes about Diane Sawyer. "I personally have no problem being right on top of Diane Sawyer" Now is this was Rush, or Beck or anyone, this would not go away. We would never here the end of this.
But some how CNN the leftie news organization gets away with it. They go unchallenged and no one is saying anything. No one has said a word. But if this was O'reilly it would make Keithy Boy's 'Worst Person In The World' list.

On Polling
I had a very interesting conversation with a good friend on Christmas, we began talking at the table about health reform. Two of the friends both agreed that the final bill would look 100 times different. I sat there trying to decide if that was a good thing or a bad thing.
Yet my though was interrupted when one went off on some what of a rant on polls. He said the issue was incredibly complicated which of course it is i don't argue with that. But then he proceeded to say that polls don't matter. He said it was meaningless that only 36% of people support this health reform bill because he said, they don't understand it. He said they could not even begin to understand it.
Now think about that. WE have a near 2,000 page bill in the Senate a 2,000 page bill in the house, about 200 new bureaucracies being created to do a million little things, we have all these news regulations and fines. We are required to do A unless we are exempt by letter C which carries a surcharge as described in letter F but is now exempt from all things listed back to letter A and a benefit from letter G. No one can understand it fully he's right about that. The senators don't even understand what they are creating.
It's one of those, "well it made sense in my head" kind of things. Now i would say radio hosts, news anchors, bloggers, and columnists have a clearer understanding of certain details and certain side effects, as does the CBO which the senate won't listen to, and other research institutes.
But having a bill that complex, the fact that people who are polled don't even know the first thing about the bill or can't possibly begin to understand how this works, isn't that a good reason in it self for why we should scrap this, start over and have a new, budget safe, and transparent health bill?
If you can't summarize the bill and let people understand the bill in less than 5 pages then something isn't right. Then that is the signal that you should start over. The problem is not the people blasting away in opposition it's the crooks and cronies in D.C. slapping together a fascistic bill behind closed doors, voting at 1 in the morning and black mailing senators to vote for it.
This whole remark my friend made was self defeating. "People can't understand it. They can't begin to comprehend this bill." So then it needs to be simpler. Because last time i checked it was we the people who ran this place. Our founders decided that we govern. "The federal government is our servant not our master." They answer to us. This is tyranny at its best. The government not listening to its people and attacking the protesters for speaking up against their dictatorial ways.
Washington is the one that needs to change. The polls are relevant. Of course people aren't gonna support something they don't get, because then there is nothing from blocking tyranny, and we are essentially blinded and let like sheep, by the government, to the slaughter.
"Here sir, the people govern."

Sen. Ben Nelson & Abortion
Senator from Nebraska Ben Nelson (D) has said on multiple occasions that he is a pro-lifer and could never bring himself to vote for a bill with publicly funded abortions.
So why then did he vote for the Senate's Obamacare? He responded by saying that there were not tax payer funds for abortions in the bill. Now i wonder if he knows he is lying, and just ignores it so he can come off as the victim and be all "Oh well i was never told this would be in." yada yada. Or if he is really that clueless and slow.
Now the senate had the chance to adapt the Stpuak amendment that said flat out, no funds for abortion period end of story. That outlawed any funds, slammed the door on tax payer funded abortions. So the senate then says 'well we don't want public funded abortions either' so the logical thing would be keep the Stupak amendment. But oh no. They kill that. Why? Because they obviously want tax payer funded abortions. Otherwise they would have no reason to kill the Stupak amnd.
Look at sen. Barbra Boxer's comments about the importance of reproductive procedures provision. In the senate bill one of the health plans in the market exchange will provide abortion services.
Ben Nelson is lying, and selling out his moral views for a government take over.

IBD: 10 Lumps Of Coal In The Health Care Bill
Investors Business Daily:
For most Americans, the health reform bill that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is pushing to pass will be worse than coal in their stockings. Herewith, the Top 10 List of Things You Don't Want From Health Care Reform This Christmas — But Will Get Anyway From Congress.
1. Higher premiums: If you pay for your own insurance, your premiums will cost 10% to 13% more than if the bill didn't pass, according to the Congressional Budget Office. Insurance won't be more affordable. Sixty percent of the newly insured are being enrolled in Medicaid, the public program for the poor.
2. A cost you can't afford and can't avoid: Though moderate-income families will get subsidies, buying insurance is mandatory. A family earning $54,000 will be expected to pay $9,000 (17% of pre-tax income) for the premium, co-pays and deductibles, according to the CBO. If you don't enroll, the IRS will find you and penalize you (Senate bill, p. 345).
3. A one-size-fits-all health plan: Your benefit package will be prescribed by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. Whether you choose basic, silver or gold, and whether you pay for it yourself or qualify for a subsidy, your benefits are the same.
Gold plans simply collect more up front and give you a lower co-pay or deductible. It's unclear how possible it will be to buy supplemental insurance. The goal is to discourage health consumption and differences based on ability to pay.
4. A sin tax on your generous plan at work: This is another equalizer to discourage some people from getting more than others. The Senate bill puts a 40% tax on Cadillac plans (p. 1,980). About one-fifth of employer-provided plans fall into that "luxury" category. The CBO predicts that employers will downgrade your coverage to avoid the tax or reduce your take home pay.
5. Government controls on your doctors' decisions: The Senate bill bars doctors from participating in the private insurance system unless they implement whatever regulations the secretary of health and human services chooses to impose to "improve health care quality" (p. 149). That broad phrase encompasses everything in medicine.
This would be the first time in history that the federal government is given power over how doctors treat privately insured patients
6. Hospitals closed to seniors: The House and Senate bills slash payments to hospitals and other institutions that care for seniors. The chief actuary for Medicare, Richard Foster, warns that cuts in the House bill are so severe that some institutions may face severe losses or end their participation in Medicare (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, 11/13/09 report). Some seniors won't know where to go.
7. Bare-bones hospital care: Patients of all ages (and all incomes) will suffer when hospitals are in financial distress. Hospital budget cuts will mean shortages of nurses, equipment and cleaning staff. The president's chief health advisor, Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, argues that hospitals in the U.S. offer more privacy and comfort than hospitals in Europe, and this "abundance of amenities" drives up costs (Journal of the American Medical Association, June 18, 2008).
8. Future Medicare cuts: Look out baby boomers, the Senate bill establishes an Independent Medicare Advisory Commission to make automatic spending reductions in future years while insulating Congress from the political fallout. You won't get as much care as people in Medicare currently get.
9. A new social agenda: Money is allocated for adult preparation activities, including lessons on positive self-esteem and relationship dynamics, friendships, dating (and) romantic involvement (Senate bill, p.612). There are also giveaways to immigrants. The Senate bill hands low-income legal immigrants government subsidies as soon as they get here, instead of waiting the five years Medicaid requires (Senate bill, p. 274).
10. A tell-all relationship with every doctor you see: What happens in your doctor's office must be recorded in an electronic data base that can send the information to insurers and other medical offices (Senate bill, p. 62-66). Every doctor you see will have access to your medical history. See a psychiatrist? Your foot doctor will know about it.
These congressional tidings bring no comfort or joy. We must save ourselves from Congress' power now that it has gone astray.

The Meltdown: Dogs, SUVs, And the Carbon Footprint
The carbon footprint of a pet dog is more than double that of a gas-guzzling sports utility vehicle, according to a new study by the authors of the book Time to Eat the Dog? The Real Guide to Sustainable Living. Combine the land required to generate its food and a "medium" sized dog has an annual footprint of 0.84 hectares (2.07 acres) -- around twice the 0.41 hectares required by a 4x4 driving 6,200 miles a year, including energy to build the car. "Owning a dog really is quite an extravagance, mainly because of the carbon footprint of meat," said environmentalist John Barrett.

I would not be surprised to see the far left enviro-statists come out and blast about reducing number of dogs. Pets? Bah humbug. Let's decrease the dog population, and save the environment.

The White House Strong Arm Comes Down On Stupak: Another Democrat Protesting The Senate Bill
A transcript of CNSNews.com's interview with Rep. Bart Stupak (D-Mich.) follows below:
CNSNews.com: "Now, I understand that you were in contact with the White House or the White [House] was in contact with you, I guess over the weekend. What kinds of pressure are you under, let me ask you that?"
Rep. Bart Stupak (D-Mich.): "Well, from the House leadership or the White House – a lot of pressure. They think I shouldn’t be expressing my views on this bill until they get a chance to try to sell me the language. Well, I don’t need anyone to sell me the language. I can read it. I’ve seen it. I’ve worked with it. I know what it says. I don’t need to have a conference with the White House. I have the legislation in front of me here."

Add Rep. Bart Stupak to the list of lefties i agree with and support to stop the senate bill.

Woman Held In Hawaii After Threatening To Kill Michelle Obama
The Honolulu authorities now confirm that the woman who threatened to kill Michelle Obama is being held in custody.
The secret service said that this woman told a receptionist last week "Will kill Michelle Obama, and i will kill marines."
She also sent photos of herself and claimed she knew where the Obamas were staying for their vacation visit.
Yet thankfully as i said, she is being contained in federal custody in Honolulu.

Another Dem Comes Out Against The Senate Bill
"The Senate health care bill is not worthy of the historic vote that the House took a month ago,"
--Rep. Louise Slaughter (D)
According to 'The Hill' this representative is furious with the state of the current senate bill. She said the bill is very flawed and that there are several problems such as charging seniors higher premiums, not fixing the anti-trust laws, and not going far enough to ensure the 30 million uninsured Americans.
Also she said "It's time that we draw the line on this weak bill and ask the Senate to go back to the drawing board."
Now this is something i did not anticipate, the right, in a full agreement with the far left to kill this bill. My prediction is that the far left will destroy the bill and people will see the left's inside battle and reject it. The right will expose that and we will start all over.
In short-the left will destroy itself and this bill. Wow, i never thought i'd see the day when i would be supporting and agreeing with Howard Dean, Moveon.org and the far left.

Abortion Beats Down Health Care
Politico Reports Today:
The White House privately anticipates health care talks to slip into February — past President Barack Obama’s first State of the Union address — and then plans to make a “very hard pivot” to a new jobs bill, according to senior administration officials.
Obama has been told that disputes over abortion and the tight schedule are highly likely to delay a final deal, a blow to the president, who had hoped to trumpet a health care victory in his big speech to the nation.
_ _ _ _ _
Once again abortion will stall and stir up conflicts for health reform. In the house abortion created controversy in the process which lead to the Stupak Amendment, and now it will rear its head in the senate and delay health reform possibly until February.
Hopefully this can shake things up, for i fear this is one of our chances to stop this bill.

Could Senate Bill End Private Insurance?
The Senate health care bill no longer contains an explicit “public option,” but it does include heavy regulation of private health plans, including minimum amount they must spend on medical claims, and taxes that will not count toward those limits, limits on deductibles and co-payments, and authority for federal regulators to define what services plans must cover. It’s entirely possible – in fact, even likely – that a combination of three particular regulations could combine to make it impossible for private health plans to legally operate, by making it impossible to meet all the requirements at the same time. By forcing private health insurers out of business, it would appear to “prove” that the public option is “necessary.”
There is an implicit maximum legal premium in the Senate bill. It results from the combination of the 40% excise tax on “excessive” premiums (over $8,500 for a single plan) and the 85% medical loss ratio (the percent of premiums that must be spent paying claims). A little algebra shows that if the premium exceeds 1.6 times the threshold, then it’s impossible to both required medical loss ratio and pay the excise tax.
This implies a maximum legal premium of $13,600. At that amount, the entire premium would be taken up by claims and the excise tax – leaving nothing for administrative cost – and even nothing to pay the “annual fee” tax on health insurance, let alone profit.
Of course, in the real world it would become impossible at a much lower premium, since (a) there are always some administrative costs, and (b) there is the “annual fee” tax on health insurers based on market share that is in addition to the high-premium tax, not to mention state premium taxes and other non-avoidable expenses.
Suppose, for the sake of the argument, that the “annual fee” tax based on market share works out to $50 per person ($10bil after 2016, for about 200 million people) and administrative costs are $500 per person (similar to the current values for both Medicare and private plans), and the “high cost” premium threshold is $8500 for a single-person policy. Also, assume there are no state premium taxes, no other taxes or required expenses, and no profits.
In that case, the premium minus the excise tax minus $500 minus $50 has to be no more than 85% of the premium. This implies a maximum attainable premium of $11,400, of which $9690 would be spent on claims.
If you add in a fairly typical 2% state premium tax to the above assumptions about admin costs and “annual fee” tax, and still assume no other cost, the maximum premium drops to $10,555.55 – and the maximum possible amount for medical claims is $8972
Every increase in taxes or administrative expenses DECREASES the amount legally “left over” to pay medical claims. Each increase of $1 in taxes or other expenses requires a reduction of $6.67 in medical claims.
It should be obvious that it would be very easy for regulators to design a plan with a minimum benefit package that is high enough (say, above $8972 in average claims) that makes it literally impossible for health plans to break even, let alone make a profit.
And if adding benefits doesn’t to the trick, they could add “exchange participation fees” or something similar, to “cover their costs” that would burden private insurers even more “efficiently” — because every dollar of fees would bring plans $6.67 closer to insolvency.
That, of course, would appear to “prove” that the public option is “necessary” – because the apparently “greedy” health insurance companies would refuse to do business deprived of their “unconscionable profits” (which is to say, profits that are equal to or greater than zero).

Unemployment Strikes!
NBC.com reports:
Unemployment claims have been flooding into the state Department of Labor, dragging the filing system to a crawl.
“Due to the high volume of claim filing, you may experience some difficulty filing your claim via the Web or by telephone. We apologize for any inconvenience,” the Web site says.
A spokeswoman says the Department of Labor issued 156,673 benefit checks during the week of Dec. 13-19, up nearly 50 percent from 105,431 last year.

Unemployment bites again, and we'll see the report at the end of the month and see if Obama is saving the economy or not.

Dem. Congressman Turns To GOP
"HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) - A U.S. House Democrat who opposes the health care overhaul announced Tuesday he is defecting to the GOP, another blow to Democrats ahead of the midterm elections.
U.S. Rep. Parker Griffith spoke to reporters at his home in northern Alabama, a region that relies heavily on defense and aerospace jobs.
"I believe our nation is at a crossroads and I can no longer align myself with a party that continues to pursue legislation that is bad for our country, hurts our economy, and drives us further and further into debt," Griffith said as his wife Virginia stood by his side."
Big loss for the Democrats as health reform votes are needed in the senate, and soon the house. This, along with Obama's lowest ratings in the polls yet, i sense the political tide is changing.

Global Warming Comes To Minnesota
This is a headline from the Minneapolis Star Tribune about the up coming weather:
"2 Feet For Christmas? You Better Watch Out
A large winter storm with the potential to dump a foot or more of snow is grinding its way toward Minnesota, and its arrival is likely to mess up travel plans, complicate last-minute errands and ensure a very white Christmas.
"It's not definite yet, but it has an uncanny resemblance to the East Coast storm last Saturday," meteorologist Paul Douglas posted Monday on his Facebook page. "I want to see one to two more computer runs, but this could be the snowiest Christmas for Minnesota in 30 years.""

Questions For Liberals part 1
I have been active in the political debate yet am stumped by where the left is coming from and where their argument is based from. So here are some questions for leftists that that i think they should answer.
~if the government can do better than the free market in health care, why is that not the case everything? What makes this more important or different than clothes, or houses, or food? Why are you not pursuing government run food, or socialized clothes?
~What is the difference between some one stealing anther's liberty, and the government doing it. What gives any one the right to steal property?
~If people cannot be trusted to self govern themselves, how is it then that they can be trusted to govern over others?

Watch this 20 minute video and see for yourself the health care system in Canada. Ya know the single payer system, the place with the health care lottery.
See how many times he gets told to go to a private health place, because he sure aint gonna get treated in their system.

Breaking News: Global Warming Causes East Coast Snow Blizzards!
Today Climate Progress's Joe Romm came out and blamed this weekends snow blizzards in which D.C. got buried in 18 inches of snow, on global warming.
Yes massive amounts of snow, the record cool temperatures this summer and fall and huge blizzards this month are caused by global warming.
Ever notice how climate drones always say whenever you mention these cool temps, they always say "well global warming causes weird and cool weather patterns."
No it doesn't. That's a lame bull crap excuse for why it isn't happening. They tried this in the 70s when everyone was yapping about global cooling, they'd tell ya "well global cooling causes strange and warm weather patterns." Now it's global warming.
This is the biggest excuse i've ever herd. Ok so the earth has been cooling for 10 years, this summer broke hundreds of cool temperature records across the country, and this fall, and now huge record breaking snow fall, it's all because of global warming?!?!? Wrong! Come up with a better excuse! No one buys it!
This is a list of all the things these climate drones like Romm have blamed on global warming:
* Excessive heat
* Excessive cold
* Droughts
* Floods
* Warm winters
* Cold winters
* Hot summers
* Cold summers
* Autumns with great foliage colors
* Autumns lacking foliage colors
* Lack of snow
* Abundance of snow
Sow what ever the weather the eco freaks have stacked the deck for global warming.

Federalism in Action
The Tenth Amendment Center is reporting that at least seven states have introduced legislation or constitutional amendments for 2010 that could effectively nullify national health care within their borders.
They have even put together this handy map.
In Arizona, HCR-2014 has already passed both houses of the state legislature and will be put before the voters next November.
In Florida, HJR37 has been introduced for the 2010 session.
In Michigan, HJR-CC has been introduced for 2010.
In Missouri, HJR-48 has been pre-filed for 2010.
In Ohio, SJR7 has been introduced for 2010.
In Pennsylvania, HB2053 has been introduced and referred to committee.
In Virginia, HB10 has been introduced and pre-filed for 2010.

A Christmas List
Here are a few things that top my list:
-The Fair tax (25% sales tax, income tax repealed)
-Audit the Federal Reserve Bank
-Kill The senate version of Obamacare
-Unemployment drop, and return of the rest of the stimulus
Dear Santa,
These are just a few of many items on my list. Although with health care reform and the huge tax increases it will bring, i really hope for the first one, that alone would kill this bill.
Merry christmas,

H.R. 666: Stop Hollywood from Remaking Horror Films
Hollywood has ruined every movie its remade. Over i weekend i finally mustered up enough tolerance to watch the remake of Friday the 13th. In my opinion, this remake, absolutely killed the original. And when people talk about that movie now, they are referring to the 2009 version.
I watched Rob Zombie's 2007 Halloween which destroyed the film. Every one is so ignorant today, "oh the 1978 version is too old." Bull crap. That was a classic, that now has been ruined by cheap, lame editing. The nice neighborly characters were replaced with foul mouthed, white trash kids. The whole thing was ruined. The story was completely altered at the beginning.
Now don't even get me started on Prom Night. One of the best horror films was raped and murdered in 2008. Now Brittany Snow was hot don't get me wrong, but the whole movie sucked. Now i want you to watch the trailer for the original Prom Night: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NQEPecjwbP8
And now compare that with this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KVIPIgE3Fnc
Watch both movies. And see what i'm talking about.
They're remaking A Nightmare on Elm Street, that will suck, the remake of the Fog was god awful, and 1993 remake of Night of The Living Dead made me throw up.
Trust me watch any original horror movie, Friday the 13th, Last House on the Left, The Hills Have EYes, Halloween, One Missed Call, The Omen, The House on Sorority Row etc. And then watch the remakes of those movies, and see for your self how much the movie has been destroyed.
Call your local congressman or senator and tell them to support my proposed H.R. 666~Prevent Hollywood From Remaking and Ruining Good Movies act.

Taxing Sick People
Sen. Reid recently campaigned for an amendment that would place a tax on medical devices used in hospitals for treatment as well as hearing aids, wheel chairs etc.
Raising revenue to fund an unsustainable bill by taxing, sick people.

It's Christmas Time: Time to Decrease the Surplus Population
"...many can't go, and many would rather die."
Scrooge "If they'd rather die then they better do it quick, and decrease the surplus population."
Karl Marx, the creator of the 'Reserve Arm of Labour.'
Marx argues the relative surplus population always has three forms: the floating, the latent and the stagnant.
* The floating part refers to the temporarily unemployed ("conjunctural unemployment").
* The latent part consists of that segment of the population not yet fully integrated into capitalist production - for example, part of the rural population. It forms a pool or reservoir of potential workers for industries.
* The stagnant part consists of marginalised people with "extremely irregular employment". Its lowest stratum (excepting criminals, vagabonds and prostitutes) "dwells in the sphere of pauperism", including those still able to work, orphans and pauper children, and the "demoralised and ragged" or "unable to work".
Marx then analyses the reserve army of labour in detail, using data on Britain where he lived.
Modern official social statistics however do not use these Marxian categories. Instead, the concepts of the "economically active population", the (employed and unemployed) "labour force", and the "jobless" are used. Important measurement criteria here are:
* whether somebody is actively looking for paid work ("unemployed")
* whether they are without paid work but would like to do paid work ("jobless")
* how many hours per week they actually do paid work.
People who are unable to work for one reason or another are normally not treated as "unemployed".
Now as far as his whole 'surplus population goes, his main goal is not employment, but unemployment.
This marxian idea would give us sky rocketing unemployment, bad jobs, and a crumbling private work force.

Snow Storm In Copenhagen
Last night, 17 December, a blizzard dumped according to Bloomberg News, 4 inches of snow in Copenhagen. This is one of several scattered snow showers across Copenhagen this week.
Denmark’s Meteorological Institute says, "There's a good chance of a white Christmas."
That would be Denmark's first white Christmas in 14 years.
Perhaps this is a greater force telling us something about global warming. This is kind of like this past spring, at a global warming rally outside the white house that was snowed out.
CNN News:
"Copenhagen (CNN) – In a strange twist, a Washington snowstorm is forcing Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-California, to make an early departure from a global warming summit here in Denmark."

Anything can Happen
In this world anything is possible. I today, sitting here find my self in complete agreement with the left wing website, "Moveon.org" which released this statement:
"But it’s not too late to fix the bill. And as Joe Lieberman has shown, just one senator willing to stand in the way can force legislation to be changed dramatically.
Senator Bernie Sanders, a strong proponent of the public option, has already made clear that he’s opposed to the legislation in its current form—and he could decide to block it until it’s fixed.3
But there’s enormous pressure from all sides to pass a bill quickly, no matter how weak it is. Let’s show Bernie and other progressives that we’re counting on them to block this version of the bill—and we’ll get their backs if they do.
Can you sign our petition opposing the current Senate health care bill? Clicking here will add your name:"
I signed it. Culvers CONSERVATIVE, signed a Moveon.org petition, against the senate health care bill. I support former democratic VP candidate Joe Lieberman and former DNC chairman Dr. Howard Dean's attempts to stop this bill from passing and start over.

Racist New Stations
Fox News is full of white, racist, tin hat wearing, fear mongers. That's all we seem to here lately. Fox News is right wing, and racist. Although last i heard, it was MSNBC that hired anchors who got thrills up their legs when Obama speaks. Bravo! Well done! Way to not be biased. What an expert analysis.
And uh that other guy, baby boy Olbermann, how many times is he gonna say Fox is Racist? All i here when i see his show, is him complaining about Fox News. 'Oh Beck is so racist' 'O'reilly is crazy and a racist'
This is coming from the guy who made the claim, "This is the highest rated cable news program for all viewers now on Fixed News..."
Now to put this in perspective, Keithy is getting about 500-700 thousand views at his slot. Glenn Beck is getting around 2 million viewers at his 5 o'clock slot. I mean that would be like me declaring "I am the smartest person in my grade, except for all the kids who are smarter then me. But once you get rid of them, i'm the smartest."
Oh and uh Keith, about the "racism" on Fox, i mean you're right man. Fox is totally racist. We should be more like the highly diverse MSNBC. I mean they're not racist at all.
Talk about diversity right?

Left Wing Fear Mongers
There is a new fear tactic in Washington. Yesterday our esteemed president Obama, warned us is we don't pass health care reform, a bill with around a trillion dollar price tag i might ad- if we don't pass it, then the United States of America, will go bankrupt.
So people who claim the health bill will ration care, and oppose the insurance mandate are right wing, fear mongers, but the lefties talking about the US going bankrupt, unless we pass their trillion dollar bill, that's fine. That's ok, that's not playing on fear at all.

More Tiger Trouble
Here is another story from the AP on the latest Tiger Woods story:
Tiger Woods is on the brink.
The shamed golfer is terrified that his wife is going to divorce him over his sexcapades and make his life miserable by moving to Sweden with their two young kids, a source close to Woods' camp told The Post yesterday.
"He's only just coping -- he's on the edge," the well-placed source said. "He sees everything coming crashing down around him. His career, his family."
FOX411: Tiger Woods and Rachel Uchitel Living Just Miles Apart.
Woods' wife, Elin Nordegren, is refusing to speak to him, the source said -- and the two are now definitely living apart.
The only thing that she said to her hubby was that he had better get into therapy -- or else, the source said.
And, as if his current family woes weren't already enough, the superstar athlete also is afraid that at least two more mistresses will surface, the source said.
SLIDESHOW: The latest women linked to Tiger Woods.
As if on cue, a possible 14th Tiger lover was identified hours later as cougar Theresa Rogers, a busty, blond, 48-year-old mom and fitness nut from Wellington, Fla.
Rogers is Woods' oldest and longest-lasting lover, having carried on steamy liaisons with him for more than five years all around the country, before and during his marriage to Nordegren, RadarOnline.com reported.
YOU DECIDE: Should Tiger have put down his putter?
Rogers did not return a phone call seeking comment.
Meanwhile, Nordegren, 29, has removed her gold and diamond engagement and wedding rings.
She made it clear to paparazzi over the weekend that she had ditched the jewelry as she happily posed for photos while filling up her car at a Florida gas station.
Her two children with Woods -- 2-year-old daughter Sam and 10-month-old son Charlie -- were in the car at the time, along with Nordegren's mother, who flew to the United States from Sweden to be at her daughter's side after the Thanksgiving-weekend debacle between Woods and his wife.

A Mess NBC's Keith Olbermann Gets It Wrong Again
Here is a link to a clip from Glenn Beck's December 10 radio show. Now the day before Keith Olbermann had reported turn outs for Beck's Christmas Sweater shows. Now not to my surprise at all, the report was way off. In fact is was an average margin of error by 200%.

Tyranny Is Here
Washington Times:
"Not content to have the government control the very air we exhale, some liberal members of Congress want to regulate every drop of water in the country and the land on which it sits. If they get their wish, the government would exercise dominion over land, air and sea to an extent never before seen.
Earlier this week came news of the decision by the power-hungry Environmental Protection Agency that carbon dioxide, which all animals and people exhale with every breath, amounts to an "endangerment" of human health. Now comes Rep. James Oberstar, Minnesota Democrat and chairman of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, to try to match a Senate committee that already advanced a bill to radically expand the scope of federal water regulations. Last week, Mr. Oberstar's staff repeated his determination to do likewise by year's end, with a bill misnamed the Clean Water Restoration Act (CWRA)."
Now this would essentially give them control of every water source in this country. Every swimming pool, every back yard pond, every indent in the road that collects water when it rains.
The government has also just passed or is in the process of passing a measure, that limits the volume of commercials on TV. They want to control how loud a commercial is. Where does liberalism end? Where is the cut off point? When do you get to keep freedom. With this president and this congress, the question is not what of our property and liberty do we get taken, it's what of our property and liberty do we get to keep.

Tiger Althete of The Decade?!?!?!
Tiger Woods was named athlete of the decade today...
Is it just me or is this the biggest garbage ever. This is on par (haha on PAR) with Obama's Nobel Prize.
Yeah he's a good athlete, but he has a trashy character. He is a untruthful lying typical snooty big time celebrity.
So many other great athletes who could've won. Peyton Manning, great player, multiple NFL MVPs, a super bowl championship, great record, and no affairs.
Just one of many, who haven't had issues or controversy who are great athletes.

Copenhagen Is A Disaster
Check out this post on the Copenhagen climate conference from the 'Foundry'
The Heritage Foundation’s Steven Groves and Ben Lieberman are live at the Copenhagen Climate Change Conference reporting from a conservative perspective. Follow their reports on The Foundry and at the Copenhagen Consequences Web site.
“Collapsing in chaos” is a phrase the media is using to describe the Copenhagen climate conference, and that certainly is the feeling among many here at the Bella Center. Little has gone right, and indeed many registered participants were never even let in. The Danish minister in charge has resigned. Now, those of us who managed to make it in may get turned away for the crucial last two days Thursday and Friday. There are even rumors that President Obama may stay away.
Substantively, it looks as though little has been accomplished towards binding emissions targets to replace the expiring provisions in the existing Kyoto Protocol. The reason is simple - reducing carbon dioxide emissions is prohibitively expensive. The citizens of none of the 192 nations represented here really want this done to them. Certainly not Americans, whose concern for global warming is plummeting while concern for the economy and jobs remains high. Not the Europeans whose words are rarely backed up by actions- many have not reduced their emissions under Kyoto yet are asking for tougher targets here. And not developing nations who insist on being exempted from any binding targets while demanding aid packages in the hundreds of billions annually, well above anything the developed world is willing to offer.
Other than side deals on programs to reduce deforestation and a few others, it looks like nothing will be decided by Friday other than to meet again in 2010 and keep trying. But things won’t get any easier by then.
Despite all the people turned away from this UN conference, it looks like one unwelcome intruder made it in - reality. Stringent energy rationing provisions in the name of fighting global warming are more trouble than they are worth. We will know for sure by Friday, but Copenhagen could spell the beginning of the end to the failed Kyoto approach.

Wait Times In Canada
Recently i found the Ontario Health Care website: http://www.health.gov.on.ca/transformation/wait_times/public/wt_public_mn.html# And i tried to set up an appointment for bypass surgery. The wait time was 182 days. That is about 6 1/2 months. Just general surgery has an average 182 day wait time. Cancer treatment ranged from 142 days-182 days.
In short, the wait time us awful. Now in the US, here, in Minnesota, i could get treated for bypass surgery in a week. In Canada i would have to wait nearly seven months. Now you tell me which sounds better. Yeah, Canada's health care is great.

So You Want Universal Health Care Do Ya?
Today Obama warned democrats that this was our last chance at universal health care.
Now i thought this was about a public option. An option or small program for poor people. Not an overhaul and nationalization of our health care system. But having said that there are those who want that.
So i took the time to look around at a nation that knows all too well about the horror of government run health care. I went straight to the eye witness reporters and sources in Britain. What i found didn't surprise me and has proven true a lot of accusations made about Obamacare.

Big Brother Is Watching: Government Monitoring Facebook?!
Intro to editorial in NTYs Sunday:
"The government is increasingly monitoring Facebook, Twitter and other social networking sites for tax delinquents, copyright infringers and political protesters."
So beware next time you tweet or facebook, because you never know who's watching.

Congress To Increase Debt
Congress is in a rush to spend our way out of this recession, but one thing they had not planned on was that congress's credit card is about to be maxed out. But they won't let that stop them.
Instead of realizing that the debt is crucial to recovery, and instead of cutting spending to balance the budget they are going to raise the debt limit by 1.19 trillion.

Lieberman Slams Obamacare
Today the Hufpo reports that Sen. Joe Lieberman has declared that he will not vote with the democrats on Obamacare. Now Reid needs a Republican to cross lines to pass this, that is assuming all 58 democrats stay on their side.
“Senator Joseph Lieberman (I-Conn.) informed Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) in a face-to-face meeting on Sunday that he will vote against a health care bill that includes a public option or a provision that would expand Medicare, a Democrat Senate aide tells the Huffington Post.
The two Senators had a discussion in Reid’s office shortly after Lieberman appeared on CBS’s Face the Nation Sunday morning. The Connecticut Independent discussed with Reid some of his concerns about the legislation, elaborating on issues he had raised during the show. According to the source, who was briefed on the exchange, Lieberman punctuated the discussion by telling the majority leader directly that he would vote against the bill if the Medicare buy-in and public option provisions remained in it.”

Copenhagen
Today 900+ protesters were arrested during the Copenhagen conference on climate scam.
Now the conference is about more than just fighting global warming. It is about a world government.
"But if we are to be told by a foreign Power ... what we shall do, and what we shall not do, we have Independence yet to seek, and have contended hitherto for very little."
"We had better have no treaty than a bad one. It will not restore friendship, but keep us in a state of constant irritation."
Now those words i'm sure most will jump at and label "right wing" or "extremist" but those words are not from tea baggers or right wing extremists, they were from our founding fathers. The first was from George Washington, the second, from Thomas Jefferson.
There are many quotes from jefferson, hamilton and the like on these treaties and foreign affairs.
They knew a lot and were centuries ahead of their time. What would the founding fathers do? They'd look the UN in the face and say screw you, they wouldn't hop in a private jet, spewing carbon in the air on the way to Copenhagen to plan with an elite group of people how to enslave the earth.
Copenhagen is a mistake and with climategate, it's pointless. None of the information we have is credible. The journal reviews we read are crap, the peer edited works are unreliable, and the facts are altered.
This is a massive attempt at a world government. This is what our founders warned us about. This is why they said stay away from foreign affairs.
So to all those who realize the garbage and stupidity of Copenhagen, go out, rally, protest and make some noise.
This is nothing more than an attempt to seize as much power as possible and police we the people around. So go out, buy Hummers, turn on all the lights in the house when you're not home, leave the fridge open while pouring the milk, do what ever it takes.

Senate Bill Slams Middle Class
Here is a summary of the the taxation in the senate health care bill. Here is an excerpt from the report:
17.8 million individuals, families, and single parents with incomes under $200K will be net financial winners (11% of all tax returns under $200K):
* [Of] that 17.8 million total, 13.2 million of them will benefit from the government subsidy for health insurance, net of any premium increases.
* The other 4.6 million of them will also benefit, netting out their premium reduction with the higher taxes they will pay. These people in general will not get a health insurance subsidy.
68.4 million individuals, families, and single parents with incomes under $200K will be net financial losers (41% of all tax returns under $200K):
* In general these people are not eligible for premium subsidies, so the effects of he Reid bill on them are direct premium effects and/or tax increases.
* Within this group, here are some representative averages, taking into account premium changes, tax subsidies for premium purchase, and tax increases:
* Within this population of 68.4 million net losers, an average individual working for a small business who gets health insurance through the small group market will be worse off, even if his income is below $10K per year:
o Income of 0 – $10K: He pays $31 more (per year).
o Income of $10K – $20K: He pays $99 more.
o Income of $20K – $30K: He pays $202 more.
o Income of $30K – $40K: He pays $325 more.
o Income of $40K – $50K: He pays $377 more.
o Income of $50K – $75K: He pays $576 more.
o Income of $75K – $100K: He pays $681 more.
o Income of $100K – $200K: He pays $726 more.
* If this individual works for a large employer buying insurance in the large group market, the bill helps him if his income is <$20K, and hurts him if his income is >$20K:
o Income of 0 – $10K: He pays $135 less.
o Income of $10K – $20K: He pays $67 less.
o Income of $20K – $30K: He pays $36 more.
o Income of $30K – $40K: He pays $159 more.
o Income of $40K – $50K: He pays $211 more.
o Income of $50K – $75K: He pays $410 more.
o Income of $75K – $100K: He pays $515 more.
o Income of $100K – $200K: He pays $561 more.
For an average family among the 68.4 million losers getting insurance through the small group market (including most small business employees), they are on average better off if their family income is <$20K, and worse off if their income is >$20K. If they get insurance through a large employer, the breakpoint is $30K.
For an average single parent among the 68.4 million losers, he or she will be better off if income is <$20K, and worse off if income is >$20K, whether he or she gets insurance in the small group or large group markets.
------------------------------------------------
So in other words, the middle class will pay for most of this in a hammering new set of taxes.

ClimateGate Emails
And here is another interesting message found in one of the thousands of climategate emails, this one revealing that the globe is cooler now then it was in '95. Let's see what they had to say about that.

Remember all the fun we had last year over 1995 global temperatures,
with early release of information (via Oz), "inventing" the December
monthly value, letters to Nature etc etc?
I think we should have a cunning plan about what to do this year,
simply to avoid a lot of wasted time.
I have been discussing with David P and suggest the following:
1. By 20 Dec we will have land and sea data up to Nov
2. David (?) computes the December land anomaly based on 500hPa
heights up to 20 Dec.
3. We assume that Dec SST anomaly is the same as Nov
4. We can therefore give a good estimate of 1996 global temps by 20
Dec
5. We feed this selectively to Nick Nuttall (who has had this in the
past and seems now to expect special treatment) so that he can write
an article for the silly season. We could also give this to Neville
Nicholls??
6. We explain that data is provisional and how the data has been
created so early (ie the estimate for Dec) and also
7. We explain why the globe is 0.23k (or whatever the final figure is)
cooler than 95 (NAO reversal, slight La Nina). Also that global annual
avg is only accuirate to a few hundredths of a degree (we said this
last year - can we be more exact, eg PS/MS 0.05K or is this to big??)
8. FROM NOW ON WE ANSWER NO MORE ENQUIRIES ABOUT 1996 GLOBAL TEMPS BUT
EXPLAIN THAT IT WILL BE RELEASED IN JANUARY.
9. We relesae the final estimate on 20 Jan, with a joint UEA/MetO
press release. It may not evoke any interest by then.
10. For questions after the release to Nuttall, (I late Dec, early
Jan) we give the same answer as we gave him.
Are you happy with this, or can you suggest something better (ie
simpler)? I know it sound a bit cloak-and-dagger but its just meant to
save time in the long run.
Im copying this to DEP and CKF also for comments.
Cheers

I Got A Lamborghini Today!!!!!
Boom! Take that. I'm not even in college, don't even have a job, haven't accomplished much of anything major thus far (yet have done some bad things) yet i get a Lamborghini! What a reward, for doing nothing, since i have a C in math.
Sound unfair? Well let's take this example (it's false in case you didn't pick up on that, i don't really have a lambo, but that would be cool) and put it on a larger scale.
President Obama. In office for eight months, hasn't been in office long enough to do anything major or good, but just long enough to mess up (since it's easier to get a D then it is to get an A) and really has not done shit. Yet he wins the Nobel Peace Prize!
It's the same thing. He is the 15 year old with a Lamborghini. He doesn't deserve it, he's in high school, hasn't don't a damn thing and gets rewarded, and all his friends can't figure out how the hell he got it and are mad because he doesn't deserve it. THis is Obama.
I still don't get how he deserves this. It's funny how you can accept a Peace Prize a week after you deliver a plan to send 30,000 more TROOPS, into a WAR.

Why The Mandate To Buy Health Insurance is Unconstitutional
Here is a paper that was released by the Heritage Foundation on the insurance mandate.
"A mandate requiring all individuals to purchase health insurance would be an unprecedented form of federal action. The government has never required people to buy any good or service as a condition of lawful residence in the United States. An individual mandate would have two features that, in combination, would make it unique. First, it would impose a duty on individuals as members of society. Second, it would require people to purchase a specific service that would be heavily regulated by the federal government.[1]"
read article here: http://www.heritage.org/Research/LegalIssues/lm0049.cfm
In reaction to states that were enacting trade barriers and violating the rights of their citizens, those who drafted and ratified the U.S. Constitution were determined both to constrain the powers of states and, at the same time, limit the power of Congress. They designed an ingenious system of checks and balances that divides state and federal authority in the hope of preventing any one government from exerting too much control over a free people.[5] To that end, the Constitution creates a national government with a legislature of limited and enumerated powers. Article I allocates to Congress "[a]ll legislative powers herein granted,"[6] which means that some legislative powers remain beyond Congress's reach. The Constitution's Necessary and Proper Clause similarly grants Congress the power "[t]o make all laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into execution the foregoing powers, and all other powers vested by this Constitution in the government of the United States, or in any department or officer thereof."[7]

Public Option Is Dead
Yesterday night the senate Democrats made a joint decision, to drop the public option from the senate bill.
In place they are considering a medicaid expansion, or reform. Hmm i could've come up with that. This public option wasn't reforming anything. It was creating a whole new monstrosity.
But now, with no public option, their plan might, actually work...

Dear Jean-Claude
It is good news indeed that these initiatives are now meaningfully
underway to join the palaeo , pure climate , and modelling communities.
I will join the short CLIVAR/PAGES meeting (24/25 Oct.) and a colleague -
Tim Osborn will attend the larger meeting from Oct.28-Nov.1. As for question
about new results , Ed Cook and I have a paper in press describing an
initial attempt to reconstruct a North Atlantic Oscillation index back into
the 1700s using tree-ring chronologies in Europe and North America. I will
have a copy sent to you. Otherwise we have a paper soon to come out in an
American book describing our early analyses of the growing Russian data.
This work, developing the density network is progressing well and we have
some very good reconstructions of growing season degree days- excellent
spatial maps over western siberia going back several hundred years.
We recently published a paper in Nature describing a 1000-year summer
temperature reconstruction in the northern Urals and a brief but interesting
paper demonstrating a strong volcanic influence in the tree-ring density
data when they show extreme low density over large areas. We have very
interesting developments from these areas of work but they are only now
being written up.
The usefull thing to stress is that these researches are in progress
and the development of the tree-ring network is continuing well and is already
providing patterns of past climate variability in northern Europe/Russia
and at a number of special locations- nortern Sweden/Finland, Yamal, and
Taimyr we have already got continuous 2000-year chronologies and have the
potential (indeed we already are) to build 7-8000 year series at ech location.
I will send you some reprints/preprints and an overhead that shows
the present state of the northern chronology network. Any stress on the
importance of future collaboration btween us and the Russians would be wellcome.
I have just heard that a proposal I submitted to Copernicus to do just this
was to my amazement ruled not relevant to the programme!
I look forward to seeing you in October. Very best wishes. Needless to say, if I can offer any help with drafting the white paper or similar
I am happy to oblige.
cheers

The Death Panel Czar
According to Susan Ferrechio, Chief Congressional Correspondent for the Washington Examiner, the senate bill (health bill) establishes a 'death czar' and allows that "czar" to make crucial decisions in the health care system.
This powers amass to determining what care is given, what drugs are offered and more.
Ferrechio write,
[...] "Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius would be awarded unprecedented new powers under the proposal, including the authority to decide what medical care should be covered by insurers as well as the terms and conditions of coverage and who should receive it.
"The legislation lists 1,697 times where the secretary of health and humans services is given the authority to create, determine or define things in the bill," said Devon Herrick, a health care expert at the National Center for Policy Analysis.
For instance, on Page 122 of the 2,079-page bill, the secretary is given the power to establish "the basic per enrollee, per month cost, determined on average actuarial basis, for including coverage under a qualified health care plan."
The HHS secretary would also have the power to decide where abortion is allowed under a government-run plan, which has drawn opposition from Republicans and some moderate Democrats.
And the bill even empowers the department to establish a Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation that would have the authority to make cost-saving cuts without having to get the approval of Congress first."
I think, and i can't believe i'm saying this, Palin was right. This is a death panel.

Dr. Jones,
I am contacting you on behalf of Dave Bader and Tim Barnett regarding a couple
action items in support of early detection on climate change. Based upon the
anticipated award for NOAA support during fiscal year 1997 on climate change
data and detection, DOE has authorized the Pacific Northwest National
Laboratory (PNNL) to utilize existing funding through 9/30/96 to conduct a

Dear Phil,
It looks like you have found Baitoushan. Vol. 2 lists Kuwae as VEI 6 in
1452 +/- 10 AD. How accurate are your dates? By the way, Chris Newhall
thinks 1600 is the Parker volcano on Mindanao in the Philippines. He
hasn't published that so far, as I know.
Could you please define "utter prat" for me? Sometimes I think we speak
the same language, and sometimes I'm not so sure.
I'm doing fine. We have a new building with nice new offices. I'm going
to Australia next week with Sherri and Danny, and after the meeting, will
visit Cairns, Adelaide, and New Zealand. I'm looking forward to skiing
on a volcano, if it stops erupting.

Subject: URGENT RESPONSE NEEDED - Early Detection Work
Date: Wed, 26 Jun 1996 16:13 -0700 (PDT)
Dr. Jones,
I am contacting you on behalf of Dave Bader and Tim Barnett regarding a couple
action items in support of early detection on climate change. Based upon the
anticipated award for NOAA support during fiscal year 1997 on climate change
data and detection, DOE has authorized the Pacific Northwest National
Laboratory (PNNL) to utilize existing funding through 9/30/96 to conduct a
meeting of the experts, and to begin preliminary investigations.
PNNL would like to place a contract with you as soon as possible to provide
support through 9/30/96. In order to place a contract with you, I need to
submit a statement of work and signed cost proposal to our Contracts
Department. If you could please fax this to me as soon as possible on (509)
375-2698, it would be greatly appreciated.
I thought your activity my look something like the following (feel free to
change/edit):
Scope of Work
Dr. Phillip Jones shall begin initial work in support of the pilot project
identified in the Early Detection of Climate Trends report. He shall prepare
for and participate in a meeting on greenhouse signal detection, to be held in
Washington, DC on September 17-18, 1996. In addition, Dr. Jones shall conduct
a preliminary analysis ?????? (please provide input)
Deliverables
Prepare for and participate in 9/17-18, 1996 meetings on greenhouse signal.
Provide a summary report on the preliminary analysis of ?????? on or
before September 30, 1996.
Also, for your information the current plan for the meeting is for September 17-
18, 1996 at the Courtyard by Marriott - Greenbelt, 6301 Golden Triangle Drive,
Greenbelt, MD. (301) 441-3311, fax: (301) 441-4978. Government room rate is
$89/day.
When you provide your cost estimate, it would be appreciated if you could
provide your hourly rate, in addition to travel estimates for the September
meeting. To expedite the process, it is very helpful if can include
documentation to support your hourly rate.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions. My phone number is 509-375-
2861, fax is 509-375-2698.
Thank you,
Karen

Dear Phil,
It looks like you have found Baitoushan.

Obama Down in The Polls
President Obama, as shown by a CNN poll now has a 48% approval rating. All other polls, such as Gallup, and Rasmussen also went down.
Now this struck me as interesting because usually after a presidential address, the approval goes up. We saw this with Obama last winter on the economy, and this fall with health care speech. Yet the day after his Afghanistan strategy his polls drop by 3%.
Does this mean the public does not support his war strategy? Oh well, i guess even if this war doesn't go to plan, at least he has given us 10% unemployment. That's really good!

04 December 2009
YAY!!! 10% of the Population is Unemployed!!! YAY!!!
Oh shut up will you, about uh, unemployment going from 10.2% to 10%. First of all the actual unemployment is 17.2% (factoring in those who have stopped looking for a job). YAy the work force is shrinking yay well done!!.
Second of all, why is it that there was a spike in employment the last two weeks? The holiday season. These are mostly temporary jobs. Places always do a lot of temporary hiring for the holidays. And we'll all see the temporary part in the December and january unemployment rates.
Big deal. so .2% got a job, fantastic. We still have 10% of the population without jobs, and a work force that is falling faster than the dollar.
We had an unemployment rate of 4.5% in 2008. Then we had a stimulus in 2008 which gave us 7.6% unemployment. Then we had another 787 billion dollar stimulus that gave us 10.2% unemployment. And now it drops to 10% and we're talking about another stimulus.
People need to wake up. Watch this next week, see if the white house makes a big deal about the .2% drop in unemployment. It doesn't matter. We've lost 3 million jobs this year. Stimulus was suppose to give us 3 million jobs. But it only gave us around 10,000 jobs.
Yeah let's all have a party! We have an unemployment rate of 10% now!!!

Take Back Al Gore's Oscar
Two Hollywood conservatives (yes, there are some) have called upon the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to rescind the prestigious, profitable gold Oscar statuette that it gave ex-Vice President Al Gore et al two years ago for the environmental movie "An Inconvenient Truth."
- - - - - - - - -
I laughed very hard upon reading this. However, given the circumstances and what we now know, Gore wasted millions of money on false science, and led the whole world into dystopia. I think he should have his Oscar stripped!!

Dear Keith, March 6, 1996
I and Eugene received your E-mail of 04.03.1996. This day I talked
over the telephone with Eugene and he asked me to send an answer from
both of us.
Thank you for the information concerning proposals to the
INCO/COPERNICUS. We agree with your strategy used and we hope
that this proposal will not be rejected.
The results of INTAS-RFBR proposal will be known at the beginning
of May. We know that they received many proposals and a competition
is high (only 1 in 10 proposals might get money). Of course, you
included in as a participant. Fritz is a coordinator from the INTAS
countries.
This year our laboratory received two small grants (approximately
8,000-10,000 USD per year) from the Russian Foundation of Basic
Researches (RFBR) for the next three years: the first one for
developing the Yamal supra-long chronology and the second one for
developing tree-ring chronologies from living trees growing at the
polar timberline in Siberia (together with Vaganov's laboratory).
These money are very important for us as they will allow to maintain
the staff of our laboratories.
I and Valery Mazepa were in Krasnoyarsk during one month and
together with E.Vaganov wrote the manuscript of book "Dendroclimatic
Studies in the Ural-Siberian Subarctic". The problem now is to find
money for its publication. If we find enough money soon (20 million
roubles), the book will be published this autumn. We analysed 61 mean
ring-width and 6 cell chronologies which we intend to publish in form
of tables in the Appendix. We can send to you all raw measurements
which were used for developing these chronologies.
Of course, we are in need of additional money, especially for
collecting wood samples at high latitudes and in remote regions.
The cost of field works in these areas is increased many times
during the last some years. That is why it is important for us
to get money from additional sources, in particular from the ADVANCE
and INTAS ones. Also, it is important for us if you can transfer
the ADVANCE money on the personal accounts which we gave you earlier
and the sum for one occasion transfer (for example, during one day)
will not be more than 10,000 USD. Only in this case we can avoid
big taxes and use money for our work as much as possible. Please,
inform us what kind of documents and financial reports we must
represent you and your administration for these money.
I and Eugene have a possibility to participate in the Cambridge
meeteng in July, but we need extra many and special invitations.
If you do not have enough money to invite both of us, Eugene does
not insist upon this visit.
The best wishes to you and Phil.
Yours sincerely Stepan Shiyatov

Dear Keith,
I have bought the tickets from Moscow to London and back. My arrival
to London (Heathrow Airport) is by flight SU 245 (Aeroflot Company) on
July 19. Departure from Moscow is at 20.10 (local time), arrival to London
is approximately at the same local time. As I know, Evgeny Vaganov did not
bay tickets until now, but he informed of my dates and can bay tickets the
same flights. My depature from London to Moscow is on August 1 by the
Aeroflot Company flight SU 244 at 09.00 of local time.
Please, inform me how can I arrive at Cambridge from London? Is
there the program of this meeting? We must be ready to do some reports?
For example, I can prepare a report about the progress in developing the
Yamal supra-long chronology and together with Evgeny about dendroclimatic
investigation in the Ural-Siberian subarctic.
Rashit Hantemirov and Alexander Surkov will go soon to the Yamal
peninsula (June 24). This summer they want to collect subfossil material
from areas which are much more remote and situated at higher latitudes.
We hoped to use some money of the ADVANCE project. But we have not received
this money until now and the program of collecting during this summer will
be reduced.
Some days ago I received an information that the INTAS-RFBR project
was rejected. The competition was very high.
Sincerely yours Stepan Shiyatov

More On Climategate
And just when you thought it would go away, it keeps hanging around.
Here are a few more excerpts from emails in the climategate scandal:
“We have 25 years or so invested in the work. Why should I make the
data available to you when your aim is to try and find something
wrong with it?”
“With publication of an article in Science (in 1995) I gained sufficient
credibility in the community of scientists working on climate change.
They thought I was one of them someone who would pervert science
in the service of social and political causes. So one of them let his guard
down. A major person working in the area of climate change and global
warming sent me an astonishing email that said. “We must get rid of the
Medieval Warm Period.”
"Dear Phil and Gabi,
I’ve attached a cleaned-up and commented version of the matlab code that I wrote for doing the Mann and Jones (2003) composites. I did this knowing that Phil and I are likely to have to respond to more crap criticisms from the idiots in the near future, so best to clean up the code and provide to some of my close colleagues in case they want to test it, etc. Please feel free to use this code for your own internal purposes, but don’t pass it along where it may get into the hands of the wrong people."
This is the biggest scam ever!!!!!! And besides were on a ten year cooling period. Which of course people say isn't long enough to prove anything. But the global wamring period of the 90s, lasted from '98-'00. Two years is better then 10????

Global Warming Comes To Texas
Over the past few days Texas has received eight inches of snow. Texas. Texas, where it almost never snows. Houston, of all places, got around 2 inches of snow last night and is under a freeze warning. Texas has had record low temperatures all fall, and now in some places, like Houston, have had their earliest snow ever.
Houston, has no snow plows, because they never get much snow at all. Yet today the snow continues to fall in Houston.
Throughout November the US broke or tied 218 November snow fall records. Brrr, it's 20 degrees out as i type this in Minnesota, which got snow the first week of October.
Global warming!!!!!

Sen. Boxer on Email Theft
"You call it 'Climategate'; I call it 'E-mail-theft-gate,'" she said during a committee meeting. "Whatever it is, the main issue is, Are we facing global warming or are we not? I'm looking at these e-mails, that, even though they were stolen, are now out in the public."
Those remarks, from senator Barbra Boxer (D-Ca).
This was the headline from The Hill
Boxer: Hackers should face criminal probe over 'Climategate'
Seems reasonable right? The fraud scientists should face some sort of investigation. Ok i can deal with that. Unfortunately she was not talking about the scientists. She was talking about the hacker, or whistle blower who sent out the email.
Wow senator Boxer. I'm truly speechless. I have no idea what to say. So some one sends out data on climate change, proof that scientists are changing data, erasing evidence against global warming, trying to cover thins up, basically prove it to be some what of a TOTAL SCAM, and you are concerned about the hacker??!?!?!?!!!?!?
"……Phil and I have recently submitted a paper using about a dozen NH records that fit this category, and many of which are available nearly 2K back–I think that trying to adopt a timeframe of 2K, rather than the usual 1K, addresses a good earlier point that Peck made w/ regard to the memo, that it would be nice to try to “contain” the putative “MWP”, even if we don’t yet have a hemispheric mean reconstruction available that far back…."

Celebrity Watch: Go Get her Tiger!
By now i'm sure that you have heard about the stories surrounding Tiger Woods.
Now i'm not sure what all happened or what to think. But i will say, i think it is very likely that he is having an affair, and and that he needs to stop acting like a celebrity.
That's all I'm gonna say. One more time for the record, Culver's Conservative says: He is having an affair. How is it he crashed, yet the air bag didn't go off.
His wife heard the crash, and came running at him to help, with a golf club?

Movie Review: New Moon
I went to see 'New Moon' this past weekend.
Here is my review:
Stars: 3 1/2
This was an epic and intensifying tale of love, romance, death, and suspense. It is box office best seller and has grossed millions so far. Now granted I am a guy so right there, i'm gonna have a slight ignorance to the film.
I saw the first Twilight, which i thought was very good, very well made. This one however, was good, but not exactly what i thought it would be. Now by no means does that mean it was bad. Quite the opposite.
I sat in the back row, which is where you want to be. The opening, i thought was rather confusing, and if you haven't seen the first one, you miss a lot. Whereas the Harry Potter Series, if you have missed other movies, it is still relatively easy to follow and pick up. This was not so easy. If you plan on seeing New Moon but have not seen Twilight, watch it before you go.
Now for girls, it was better due to the fact that well, there were more shirtless guys if this movie. For guys though, it isn't the easiest to sit through. Mostly it is very suspenseful and has several very good twists. Some parts i thought i had all figured out, and then something entirely different happened. Other parts you had no clue what was going to happen. My heart was racing as Bella raced to Rome in a very nice Prosche to see Edward.
This movie: New Moon was one of the best movies of the fall, and definitely worth the hype. It is a thriller, and a suspenseful work of art. Although it is hard to follow if you haven't seen twilight and some parts are unclear. It is clearly aimed more at the female gender however i did enjoy it. And it is also a little cheasy at time. But aside from that it a great drama and well worth the watch.

The Nanny State Return!
CNS News has reported yesterday, that the new house bill proposed by speaker of the house Nancy Pelosi, would indeed regulate insurance companies. Ok, i don't agree with a good 80% of the bill, but i guess it sounds logical. However, besides insurance companies, this bill would also begin a regulation, of, VENDING MACHINES!!!
The bill says that it will require vending machine crews to get create new machines that will tell people nutrition facts. Because on the bag isn't good enough. Especially when people know that their buying Hostess cup cakes, since that isn't already common knowledge that those, maybe aren't the best for you.
Section 2572 of the bill (H.R. 3962) says, “In the case of an article of food sold from a vending machine that – (I) does not permit a prospective purchaser to examine the Nutritional Facts Panel before purchasing the article or does not otherwise provide visible nutrition information at the point of purchase; and (II) is operated by a person who is engaged in the business of owning or operating 20 or more vending machines, “the vending machine operator shall provide a sign in close proximity to each article of food or the selection button that includes a clear and conspicuous statement disclosing the number of calories contained in the article.” (See page 1,515 of H.R. 3962 Section 2572 (H) (viii).
National Automatic Merchandising Association, vending lobby group released a report saying that the changes and new regulations on vending machines, would cost the vending machine industry, a 56.4 million dollar start up cost.

On The Drive By, Radio Station
It’s one of my favorite songs (still which is amazing because most of the people who “loved” it at first don’t anymore), it’s a best seller, it has been on iTunes top 10 since it came out, it’s ‘Party in the USA’ by Miley Cyrus.
Now this was a great song, about American and a normal down to earth life which should be seen as one big ‘party.’ However while some fans really enjoyed the song and actually got into it, the record company thought it was a good chance to make some cash. So they called up their good friend, the radio station, and got them to play the hell out of it. Soon it was the biggest song of the month and everyone liked it. Yes it was a party on the air-waves and teens everywhere wanted it played.
That was until the radio stations took out their guns and drove by and shot up the song. Now, just a mere three months after its release people are already starting to drop it. And why? It’s a great song. For the same reason all modern music trackers go down in flames, it gets old. And because it is “old” and “overplayed” the “fans” don’t want it anymore, and then later the next single will come out, but until then, they will be forced to listen to what was once, their “favorite” song.
Who even remembers ‘Show Stopper’ anymore? Want to know why? Oh because it’s three years old and apparently because they haven’t come out with anything big since, and that’s too old and boring (after three years) no one likes it.
Now let me inform you, that the band ‘Judas Priest’ went on their last tour about two years ago. And the first time they went on tour was in the 80s. And, they were awesome. No they didn’t come out with anything new or fancy to sell a plastic disc, they were in it, for the music. Not for the profit and “fans”. Twisted Sister went on their last and final tour a few years ago. In an interview with Dee Snider he said;
“we’re not going on, with the intent of landing a new record, we play the old stuff, dress up like the old days and give em an old school show, ‘cause that’s what they want. All the fans they want to see it one more time, and all the news fans, they want see what it was like from what they heard it was like.”
That is the attitude we need. Making music for the fans and playing with passion, not coming out with a pointless single about America that’s going to end up standing before the record company’s ‘death panel’ and eventually get assassinated by the radio stations and dropped by the “fans.” It’s stupid, because the radio stations have already killed ‘Party in the USA.’ It’s dead. It didn’t take much. All it took was a few weeks of publicity, the right stations to play it and the right “fans” to get sucked in. And in the end, the stations and record companied made millions off that hit. If I play it in the hall way at school, I already know the reaction. “Wow max you still like that song.” “It’s getting old.” Really, after three months, then the fact that I still listen to Kiss’s ‘Rock n’ Roll All Night’ whooo don’t even go there.
Overplaying a song, is the worst thing for the song. If you want to make it last and meaningful then you don’t let the radios over play it. But for most, it’s too late. The radio stations everywhere killed Party in the USA.
I figured it would only be a matter of time, before people got bored of it. And that was the intent. To make a good song bad, all so they could make some money and move on to the next song to make money off of by overplaying it, and publicizing it.
This is the drive by radio station. I refer to it as that because like in this situation, it is like a drive by shooting. They roll up to the concert, or song or whatever, and do an all out assault on that album or song. Only their studio or station are the guns. Then they “kill” the song and no one listens to it anymore, (pocket some money in the process) and move on down the street to the next album. Taylor Swift is big because the record companies and radio stations knew they could make some money off her. Just wait and see in two years, if people like Taylor Swift as much.

Taxing Victory
Politicians want very much to succeed in Afghanistan. They really hope we win. Or more so they hope they can create a situation in which they can raise taxes on us.
They are now tossing around the idea of a "war tax". Hmmm this, congressman Obey said, will be essential to win the war and to help the budget.
This tax would also go directly to those who make $200,000 a year and more. Translation: We need this tax so we can further tax the rich. We jump at any chance to do that.
Now remember back on the campaign when our lord and savior Barack Obama, promised he would not raise taxes on those making $250k or less?
Check ? another broken campaign promise, if this goes through.

AARP Backing Away From Public Option
A report from the AARP advocacy group saying that the government run public option, was not a priority for them.
This big news, after all the statists bragged about having the AARP support for their government overhaul.
?It?s not a priority for us,? said David Certner, Legislative Policy Director of AARP, in an interview with Raw Story. ?We?re more concerned about prohibitions due to pre-existing conditions and cost spikes of up to 10 times for 60-64-year-old seniors.?
The group then went on to talk about the fact that their members are already on a government plan. It's called medicare. However it did not address the 500 B cuts to medicare.
So is the AARP slowly backing away from the public option?

Um, Tell Us Again Who Is a Propaganda Arm of a Political Party...
One of the most out spoken about the 'right wing bias' on Fox News is A-Mess NBC's Keith Olbermann, who always has a reason to trash Fox and call them out for being bias and a 'propaganda arm for the republican party.
But looking back throughout last months guests that he had on the show:
So...exactly who again, is the propaganda arm of a political party? Fox, every night on 'Hannity' during the Great American Panel there is always liberal. Last month including guests like Bob Beckle, Doug Shone, and an interview guest last month, Michael Moore.
Talk about a flaming left wing bias on msLSD. This is OutMSNBCed
