Senator from Nebraska Ben Nelson (D) has said on multiple occasions that he is a pro-lifer and could never bring himself to vote for a bill with publicly funded abortions.
So why then did he vote for the Senate's Obamacare? He responded by saying that there were not tax payer funds for abortions in the bill. Now i wonder if he knows he is lying, and just ignores it so he can come off as the victim and be all "Oh well i was never told this would be in." yada yada. Or if he is really that clueless and slow.
Now the senate had the chance to adapt the Stpuak amendment that said flat out, no funds for abortion period end of story. That outlawed any funds, slammed the door on tax payer funded abortions. So the senate then says 'well we don't want public funded abortions either' so the logical thing would be keep the Stupak amendment. But oh no. They kill that. Why? Because they obviously want tax payer funded abortions. Otherwise they would have no reason to kill the Stupak amnd.
Look at sen. Barbra Boxer's comments about the importance of reproductive procedures provision. In the senate bill one of the health plans in the market exchange will provide abortion services.
Ben Nelson is lying, and selling out his moral views for a government take over.
