Sen. Boxer on Email Theft

"You call it 'Climategate'; I call it 'E-mail-theft-gate,'" she said during a committee meeting. "Whatever it is, the main issue is, Are we facing global warming or are we not? I'm looking at these e-mails, that, even though they were stolen, are now out in the public."

Those remarks, from senator Barbra Boxer (D-Ca).

This was the headline from The Hill

Boxer: Hackers should face criminal probe over 'Climategate'

Seems reasonable right? The fraud scientists should face some sort of investigation. Ok i can deal with that. Unfortunately she was not talking about the scientists. She was talking about the hacker, or whistle blower who sent out the email.

Wow senator Boxer. I'm truly speechless. I have no idea what to say. So some one sends out data on climate change, proof that scientists are changing data, erasing evidence against global warming, trying to cover thins up, basically prove it to be some what of a TOTAL SCAM, and you are concerned about the hacker??!?!?!?!!!?!?

"……Phil and I have recently submitted a paper using about a dozen NH records that fit this category, and many of which are available nearly 2K back–I think that trying to adopt a timeframe of 2K, rather than the usual 1K, addresses a good earlier point that Peck made w/ regard to the memo, that it would be nice to try to “contain” the putative “MWP”, even if we don’t yet have a hemispheric mean reconstruction available that far back…."
