Thought On Obama's Speech Today

Well it took long enough. In his speech today the President noted a systemic failure, and said that he would be held responsible and accountable for the system. It is about time this guy took responsibility. But no all he can do, "oh well i inherited this recession and uh i can't do anything so i'll just blame it on the previous president, even though i said i was beyond that kinds of politics."

That's what we've had for the last 12 months, an incompetent president who blames all failures and problems on others, even those who aren't even in office now. Bush left a year ago, how can it still be his fault? He isn't president anymore. So stop blaming him for your own failed policies.

He also went on and talked about how they had pre-intelligence of this attack, but didn't "connect the dots". Where is the media on this? When the 9/11 commission report was released, and people found out that we had knowledge of some kind of attack but didn't do anything, Bush was slammed and hammered by the media. Because he didn't connect the dots. Now, uh Mr. Too Big To Fail over here does the same thing, but oh no it wasn't his fault we have a great CIA, except when a Republican is in office, then the suck but with this guy, it's ok, things happen. Good God. I mean i get that he is embarrassed by the systemic failure, and he ought to be, but then for the media to act like it's no big deal and let him off the hook, when eight years later they're still hounding Bush for the same thing? Don't tell me the media isn't left wing and in the tank for this guy.

The final point i want to make is when he says "accountable." What does that mean? It means you fire some one. It means some one is held to their word and just like a student in school who is held to their word. They plagiarizer it's over, automatic zero. You mess up on security and allow a thankfully failed attempt, you can some one. Get rid of what ever idiot royally screwed up. Fire Napolitano, i'd wouldn't mind that.

The last thing is when he said that we need to learn from our mistakes. So basically we need to go ahead and ignore this terror attack, it's ok, we can learn from things like this. In other words, i don't care, sure let's get attacked and then we can learn from it. Or how about we use common sense and apply real policies that will work, and make sure it doesn't happen for us to learn from. Not "oops well let's see what happens and see what we can get out of this."

The guy to his credit though, finally wants to take responsibility, after 12 months of "i inherited this, i inherited that."
